We honeymooned in Barbados in June and spent 10 days at the House. It is set on the most amazing part of the West Coast with the clear, calm waters of the Caribbean Ocean. Great beach (although we did get hassled a lot by the local sellers) and the marine life is just amazing. The atmosphere in the House is... more

Echoing the previous review, this villa style hotel is a one off and if you want a very special holiday, in boutique style accommodation in the Caribbean, then choose The House. Prior to going i was slightly nervous as i had read some average reviews, but please do not judge based on the average reviews, for us and i know... more

We were in Barbados for our honeymoon and could not of chosen a better place! The hotel and its concept really are unique. The name says it all! It was like staying in your own serviced villa. The staff are so friendly and genuine from the hotel manager down to the gardener. The advice we were given by the ambassadors on where to dine... more

Great hotel overall. The room was pretty average, although we landed one of the 1st floor corner rooms with a private pool outside which was a great positive. The only thing i didn't understand was the split between bedroom/sitting area - i prefer open plan, space but this was something minor given the great location of the hotel. The bed... more

just returned from a week at 'the house' and that is exactly what it feels like! as you walk in, it feels very exclusive.we were greeted by 'ambassadors' who from that moment on provided a first-class service; really friendly and humourous when necessary, but also extremely professional - they could sense what you wanted and they certainly provided. there is... more

I cannot really fault The House. We stayed there for a week in mid-March, and found the whole experience exectly what we were after. As previously noted, this is not a mega-resort; there are plenty of those around. The House is a haven, with no children, and gentle, unobtrusive service. The hotel is small and intimate, and the The Ambassador... more

We have just got back today from the best holiday of our lives! We haven't done a review on trip advisor before but often read them and when we checked the reviews in jan( not good) we tried to change hotel, thank god it was to late to do so! If your looking for a big ostentatious hotel where people... more

Finding the right place to stop at took a lot of research, but staying on the west coast was the right choice for us. We didn't want an all inclusive as we like to be left to our own devices. The House fits the bill perfectly. The breakfasts were marvellous - plentiful, fresh and filled with champagne. (if you want... more

this was our first trip to 'the house' but second visit to barbados. from the minute we stepped off the plane we were greeted by our friendly tour guide and from then on it just got better and better - the staff at 'the house' make you feel right at home, they advise, recommend and book everything for you, everything... more
