I wen to Discovery Bay from Friday October 30th to Sunday November 1st with my mother for my 16th birthday. Everything was great, the customer service was great, the people were so friendly, the rooms were clean, the facilities were great and the garden was great. We stayed at Discovery Bay last October and had a wonderful time so much so we have just returned from another fab 2 weeks there. I will get the food over with first as follows; Breakfast:: Orange & Grapefruit juice,Fresh fruit,Yogurt,Toast,Bacon,Eggs,beans,sausage,pancakes,fried bread,cakes & muffins,tea coffee. Where to start... The hotel was very run down; it was obvious that it gets a fresh lick of paint every year to hide the fact that most of the timber in the hotel is rotten and badly repaired. The hotel in my opinion should be pulled down and rebuilt. The rooms were however clean and relatively well looked after... more

Great location, hotel is in walking distance of bars, restaurants, shops, police station, pharmacy, church, infact everything you could need. The beach is spacious compared with some and we always managed to get a sunbed - they are usually put out as and when you want one. We arrived for a weeks holiday, booked last minute with Tropical Sky and a lot cheaper than any other hotel in the area. This is not a 3 star hotel. We have stayed in 3 star hotels before and have never had anything as awful as this. Our bathroom was dirty with cracked tiles and botched repair work.
