We stayed at the Sandpiper for 2 nights at the end of a trip round the Caribbean to Antigua and St Lucia. We booked the hotel for it's location on the beach in St James', it's location in Holetown and in part due to the good reviews on Tripadvisor. The hotel is family run and has been operating for around... more
We have just returned from a wonderful 10 day break at the Sandpiper Hotel. We stayed in a Garden Room (12) which was spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. The rooms and suites are set in beautiful landscaped gardens, the whole property is maintained to a very high standard. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant 3 or 4 times... more
A well appointed, quite efficiently run hotel in a good location but it didn't work for us. The room we were given (though we'd asked for a quiet room) was next to the bandstand and the first two evenings were spoiled by the tedious pap produced for the benefit of diners. We were moved to a much quieter room but... more
Nigh everything you learn about the Sandpiper at this site is spot-on. Read it all and you won't go wrong, but factor in the season. Superb hotel, we stayed here for nine nights in early January on the second leg of our honeymoon. What a fantastic hotel. The moment we arrived they knew who we were and the purpose of our trip, we were greeted by the friendly and efficient reception staff and the owner Wayne who took us directly to our room, a one... more
Second visit here, loved the hotel. It is quite small and the average age of the guests is probably over 50 so lovely and quiet. No children allowed in Jan I believe, this was appreciated when we got to our next hotel and there were several babies/toddlers. The beach is fantastic and you can walk about 45 mins one way... more
We came to the Sandpiper after a terrible start to our holiday at a different hotel altogether which was so awful we just had to move from. We were recommended the Sandpiper by our rep and we were delighted. It is in the SLH (small luxury hotel) guide which we have used before and always found to be up to... more

Sea - clean, clear Sunbeds on sand (we are normaly pool people!) 1 Bedroom Suite (7) Kitchen in Suite Breakfasts on verandah Loungers on veranadah Free iced water... more
My wife and I have just returned from a 10 day holiday at the Sandpiper. The reason we booked this hotel was the location and the friendly staff as mentioned by previous reviewers of trip advisor. How right they were!!! It was amazing, even though this was our first time, we were treated like long lost family members . I... more
