The sandy lane is a lovely hotel on one of my favorite islands in the carribean. Barbados is a wonderful island with the most friendly people and with some superb beaches. It has the best of everything, a wild east coast, a lapping carribean coast and a white sandy south coast. I have stayed at this hotel four times. The... more

Just arrived back from a very relaxing week at SL. Rooms We had a ground floor Ocean deluxe room which was really spacious and tastefuly furnished. There was more than enough drawer and cupboard space. Tea and coffee making facilities. The shower was lovely!!! Big bath too!! Lovely patio area with comfi seating and a few stepping stones to the... more

We went to the Sandy Lane because we heard about it from friends. It is definitely overpriced for what it is. The service is excellent most of the time but by far not personal. The food is disappointing at best and the whole place has little character. For the prices we paid I coulld have stayed in other good hotls... more

Hi, We stayed at Sandy Lane for 2 weeks in June, 2008. We absolutely loved the hotel. This was our first trip to Barbados and it is was very impressive. Barbados looks cleaner and is generally a tad more upscale than most of the other Caribbean islands. I can not say enough nice things about the hotel. We booked two... more

We loved this place, beautiful, traditional hotel. Not fighting to be the trendiest, with infinity pools etc. Simply elegant. Friendly, efficient staff. Very relaxing and tranquil spa. Apparently good golf courses, according to hubby, although I didn't play i ventured up to the club house for lunch, spectacular scenery. Great food. Good for kids too as noticed the kids club... more

Amazing once again from start to finish. I absolutely love this hotel - it has the most beutiful luxurious rooms l have ever seen . We stayed in the luxury ocean room, but we have seen all the rooms and can say each design is great. If you like perfection and are picky about a very clean hotel there is... more

We have just returned from a fabulous week in Sandy Lane to celebrate some 40th birthdays. There were 6 adults and 5 children (ranging in age from 5 to 13) in our party and we all had the most amazing holiday! The hotel is stunningly elegant and on a beautiful beach. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, you feel... more

We had two weeks in an Orchid suite. The hotel is beautiful throughout. Everywhere you go there is someone eager to help. The restaurants and bars are well stocked and run. The real difference is made by the people who work there. Vickie Borman runs the buffet restaurant. She was always very friendly and helpful. Francia Serieux also worked in... more

Sandy Lane Hotel is absolute perfection. I have just returned from a 10 day break there and am sorely missing the place already. There are not enough superlatives to describe Sandy Lane, but I will try anyway. We stayed in an Ocean View Deluxe room, so on our first day we could sit on the balcony and watch the sun... more
