This is not the Med..! Barbados is generally a culture shock to those who have not been to the islands before.. Very hot, even when it rains and the humidity takes some time to get used too... My girlfriend and I spent 7 nights here and were lucky to have the great time that we did. To start, we got a great deal through Travelzoo for a standard room. Website says we had option of queen size beds, but we soon found that it's only two double beds pushed together unless you upgrade to a luxury suite.... more

From our very warm welcome with complementary drink the service was good throughout - not the fastest but hey this is Barbados and we were on holiday. The rooms were clean, staff very friendly, water sports on offer at the hotel were good for all ages, i cannot recommend this hotel enough. We received everything we expected with our visit to Tamarind Cove, we spent a little more for an ocean front junior suite with a King size bed. Our room was exactly like what is advertised on the website. Air conditioning could have been cooler but we come from New Orleans, LA. We do more than climate control for our homes.... more
