I stayed at the Island Inn in August 2008 with my family comprising three teenage daughters. Booked it with Best at Travel Barbados for an unbelievable price. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz for the price I paid, but was very pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Staff are extremely friendly and attentive; hotel situation close to Pebbles Beach (best beach on the... more

Location of the hotel is great as you have superb beaches on the doorstep with no vendors, there were two public holidays while we were there and the locals were out in force enjoying the beautiful waters as much as us. No trouble, no hassle and some great beach cricket to watch (also Sunday afternoon). Service, cleanliness and food in... more

My partner and I spent my 40th birthday (and new year) here and had a fabulous stay. The Island Inn is wonderfully situated across the road from one of the finest and most beautiful bathing beaches in Barbados. The snorkeling here is great, with many bright marine fish in the shallows and, I'm told, turtles a little further out. The... more

We only spent one night here in early April 09 (as we were in transit to go back home to Canada) but it was a fabulous find. Upon arriving we found out it was an all-inclusive. We had the best cocktails of our whole 10 day trip down south in this little place. Most places spruce up the drinks alot... more

Have stayed at the Island Inn many times since 1971, most recently this month. For total relaxation, friendly and helpful staff (some of whom were there on my first visit!), good selection of meals, great interaction with fellow guests, the Island Inn is superb. Granted it is not primarily a place for young children but for meeting and making new... more

My partner and I stayed here last summer for 10 days and had a lovely holiday. The hotel is very basic but set on an incredibly beautiful beach. (In fact we traveled the length of Barbados and didn't find a better beach.) We found the staff not to be as friendly as everyone else says on here and found them... more

My husband and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Island Inn & we have had the most fantastic time. We have been to Barbados once before (for our honeymoon) and stayed on the West Coast, but I have to say we much preferred the location & service we experienced at the Island Inn. We met... more

We only were able to stay one night prior to our Windstar cruise but certainly wished we could have stayed longer. Everyone, both staff and other guests were just so friendly and went out of their way to talk to everyone. Perhaps it was the open bar where people lingered and talked. We are from Texas and were with family... more

I took my father to watch the cricket and chose the Island Inn for her reviews. The hotel itself is situated about 40-50 metres from Carlisle beach, it is beautiful and in the morning the horses are brought down from the stables for a swim in the ocean. It takes about 20 or so mins to walk to Bridgetown and... more

This is an excellent small hotel in a quiet area. Good points are ;- very near to fab safe bathing beach, lovely quiet pool area, clean rooms, lovely food, near to bus stop, taxi rank, and within walking distance of Bridgetown. The only downside I think is that 90% of people there are English so it's not very cosmopolitan, and those... more
