We found Salt Ash by mistake, and ended up staying there for our entire holidays - and to our great surprise as the only guests! As it was low season and they are not majorly advertised, their clientele is mainly repeat guests.
It is a great place for people wanting a chilled out, unpretencious atmosphere.
The beach feels private and secluded, but it is walking or swimming(!) distance from the bigger Dover or Turtle Beach and also all shops and nightlife in St Lawrence Gap.
The apartments are airy and spacious with good sized verandas looking out over the palm trees and ocean. Although they are not flash they are well kept and cleaned daily.
I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for good quality but still reasonably priced accomodation and a less touristy feeling.
We fell in love with the place, the staff and the beach - it made our holidays in Barbados truly special. Can't wait to go back! more
