This is my fourth stay at the Oxford House. I have read about the previous comments from other guests' and I don't believe in judging people based on what other people say. The staff and Mrs. Smith were very accommodating with me and tried their best to accommodate my request when I needed a place to stay. From my few... more

Was reading some reviews of Oxford house...hard to believe I stayed at the same house- We (4 rooms) found the staff to be so very accomodating and friendly...even the owner chatted with us. Rooms were most comfortable Breakfast was great! Altho we 4 boys were in Bermuda on a personal but party holiday, it was nice to get back to... more

The First thing to bear in mind is the location of Bermuda, in the middle of the Atlantic, so everything is expensive, especially hotels, so normal prices go out of the window, here you have a guest house on Hamiltons door step, all the rooms have been refurbished to a good standard and good size rooms, like all guest houses... more

Just returned from a amazing trip to Bermuda. The Oxford House is comfortable (rooms are simple ((no frills)) but nice and cool), convinent (the location cannot be beat), and very affordable. However, the owener/staff are not extrememly helpful or polite. The staff warms up, once you stop asking questions. On the plus side, the hotel allowed us to spend a... more

We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Oxford House. We were treated with courtesy by Felicidad and the rest of the friendly, hardworking staff. Requested beach towels were cheerfully fetched. The owner, while not warm and fuzzy, is very businesslike and polite. Our room was clean and we thought the bed was very comfortable. The air-conditioning was excellent-quick and... more

While the rooms were perfectly nice at the Oxford House and the breakfasts were ample and tasty, I would have to agree with other reviewers who found the staff and the owner unpleasant at times. We stayed for about a week and by the end of our stay, I was doing my best to avoid interactions with the management and... more

Stayed here for three weeks on business. The staff were very helpful, but the owner was certainly not. I have read some glowing reports of Mrs. Smith online, but in person she was condescending, rude and unhelpful. I try to be courteous at all times to staff, but I think anyone under a certain age gets short shrift from Mrs.... more

We stayed at Oxford House 47 years ago on our honeymoon June 1959. Over the years we have returned several times to visit Bermuda; once we stared at the Hamilton Princess and another we rented Haycon on the opposite shore with our six children. We plan to return next summer and had hoped to stay several weeks at the Waterloo... more

The Oxford House is a lovely place to stay. I have travel to Bermuda lot of times. Most of the hotels are a bit overpriced. But you have to also take into consideration Bermuda is a small island that gets most of their products imported. Location: Central to everything (shopping, bus, ferry and restaurants) Staff: I found them to be... more
