I live across the street from this former hotel. One building has been converted into housing for hospital staff. The pool is empty and has been for over a year, maybe two. The restaurant on the pool terrace has been closed for even longer. The main building is derelict and the last time I walked around the back of the... More

Something was fishy from the get-go. Hot wire advertised 3star at 169/nt that didn't connect when I tried multiple times. After calling for help with HotWire, it finally went through - and it was the grape bay. Reading these reviews I immediately tried to get a refund. Golf nearby? Restaraunt? No luck with HotWire - "Please call us when you... More

I am a frequent traveler to Bermuda an have stayed at Grape Bay four time previously. I've noticed a decline in service, cleaniness and food options each year but still found the hotel to be one of the best values on the island. However, my last visit in August will be my last visit to this hotel until they are... More

I have travelled extensively and have stayed in both budget and 5* resorts. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to warn people about this "hotel". It was advertised as a boutique hotel... it was run down, unoccupied, no restaurant (thank goodness!). no front desk (there was a nice lady in a back room), no staff after... More

On a very expensive island this hotel is a very cheap alternative. Just be prepared that this is what it is. It is not a new hotel. It is run down and many things need repaired or don't even work. I.E. there is no functioning ice machine. The office had ice available from a bag but even that ran out... More

We stayed here 5 nights and then with a friend in Bermuda for the remaining 6 nights. When we got to our friend's place and told her about the Grape Bay, she said that it had been up for sale for some time now but they can't find a buyer, and that's when everything made sense! Like many other people... More

This hotel is on top of a very steep hill which provides a great view of the ocean. The only problem is walking up the hill, especially with the humidity. If you are planning on using the public bus system the walk back to the hotel is very exhausting. We traveled by taxi. The cost into the city was $10.... More

There is nothing special about this hotel......its neat, its clean and it's quiet. It's a cheap place to sleep and not be bothered. This year we stayed for 10 nights. It's Bermuda rent a moped and go for rides and see the island. If you have a moped this hotel is a perfect central location to see the island. This... More

This hotel is old, tired and not at all as pictured. The halls and room were dirty. The previous reviewer says it all. The pool and restaurant were closed. Locks on door were minimal. Safe in room was not operational. We lost electricity when the coffe maker and AC were on at the same time. The walk is long (3/4... More

On arrival Friday afternoon I learned that the pool was empty, the restaurant abandoned, and the doors to the lounge's oceanview terrace locked. My room, however, was spacious with a view of the ocean (beyond the decrepit-looking pool area) and a lush hillside dotted with pretty Bermudian cottages. The bed was comfortable, linens okay, cable okay, fridge operational, all clean.... More
