We just returned from a week at the Elbow Beach Resort. It was a wonderful place to settle except the main hotel, in general, needs updating badly. Our room was on the fourth floor with a wonderful view of the beach. We could hear the pounding surf! Our room was very drab; coming to Bermuda we were expecting lovely pastel... more

After a long and arduous check in we should have known that service comes with a combination of condiscention and indifference. The start point the staff operate from is that 'everything is too much trouble'. At breakfast my partner had a hot meal from the buffet and I had a croissant. She decided to have a hot fruit crepe and... more

We spent a week at the hotel in September/October 2008 in a main building sea view junior suite. There was a rather irritating change of levels in the room between the bed and the bathroom which caught me out in the middle of the night but otherwise the room was comfortable if not a bit musty and dated. The bathroom... more

Beach is wonderful easy walk from main resort but uphill walk back. Great exercise room and pool is temperature controled. Elbow Breakfast can feed 2 easily. If you plan on eating in resturants will need dress shoes and men need dress shirt. No tennis shoes or jeans. The horseback riding is not for beginners lot of up and down hills,... more

I stayed at Elbow beach with my sister and our children during March Break 2009. We checked in and and were given one of the older rooms in the main part of the hotel overlooking the pool/ocean. It was nice, but unfortunately the room itself was a little tired and in need of refurbishing. You could see where they were... more

The property has some potential, but it is not up to the service standards of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. more

Stayed at Elbow in the month of February during the special local rate. For this price, well worth it. February is not a good month to stay in a resort hotel, however. Not much to do in such (relatively) cold weather. Beware- a lot of additional service charges are tagged on to just about everything at this hotel. Don't get... more

My husband and I had visited Bermuda on a cruise several years back and knew it was the place we wanted to get married. After researching the limited hotels on the island, Elbow Beach (Mandarin Oriental) seemed to be perfect. We went in May of 2008 along w/ 60 of our closest friends and family. Weather was a bit cooler... more

I must admit I am difficult to please. Overall the hotel is very nice. Grounds are beautifully manicured and the room we had was recently renovated and more than adequate. Our only complaint about the accomodations is the lack of direct ocean views. Our balcony view was heavily obscured by trees. Service was good and the Veranda rum bar is... more
