Just got back - stayed in an "owners efficiency" - I guess there is a plain efficiency - we traded a full one bedroom for it because we had to take a vacation that week - turned out just fine. The one we were in opened to a foyer / kitchen and closet and bathroom - then entered the bedroom... more

I have been reading many of the reviews prior to our trip and after. I have to agree with some of the last post....life is what you make of it. I always try to keep an open mind when reading the reviews so that I am not shocked or suprised. I have to say that the hotel itself is nice... more

We (a family of four) spent a week in a two bedroom ocean view villa at the Surf Club. Check in was smooth and took about 20 minutes. Our rooms were very nice and typical for Marriott vacation property. I recommend renting a Jeep so that you can get off of the beaten path. We normally spent the morning out... more

One thing I have learned through reading these reviews just as with anything in life, you have to go in with an open mind and experience life for yourself. You will find in any situation in life those who always see the glass half full and those who see it as half empty. After reading reviews prior to our travelling... more

This was our 2nd time to Aruba. We were invited this time to Aruba to see what the timeshare experience is all about. I think the Surf Club is nice, but not on the high end of service or amenities. The staff rarely answered the phone at the front desk, but when they did answer the phone, they were helpful.... more

I love the ASC. The staff is super friendly, the rooms wonderly furnished and comfortable. It has all the comforts of home. It's very relaxing and safe for the kids. Plenty to do or you can just relax. Wonderful! more

There were 9 people in our group spread out in two 2-bedroom villas. The villas were large, clean and beautiful. The Surf Club accommodated our request and put our villas close together. Due to flight delays, we arrived in Aruba later than expected. We were all tired, but got checked in quickly without any problem. With ample storage in our... more

Set your expectations: This feels much more like a 2-star resort with 4-star pretentions. The Marriott complex includes a true 4-star Marriott Hotel and another time-share, the Ocean Club. Some prefer the Ocean Club. Most of the guests feel like (er, sound like according to the locals who say the guests at the Marriott tend to be loud) they are... more

Where do I start...what I thought would be a great trip with family and friends started out with me in tears of frustration in the lobby of the Marriott Aruba Surf Club! When I booked my trip ( I am not a time share owner---and NEVER WILL BE) I was told 'I was in luck - I could have the... more

We are Vacation Owners with the Hyatt in Key West and traded for four other vacations this year, one being the Marriott Surf Club. Although it wasn't as large as what we are used to it was fine for the two of us. I liked it because the visible security throughout the night and lots of it. You have access... more
