This is typically a timeshare hotel. Very family oriented, nice adult pool, lazy river. Rooms are in excellent condition and remodeling more in 2016. Beach huts you can only reserve day of arrival and only for 2 days. I think people with timeshares get first serve though. Beach is super crowded, depending if you want that feel or not. Great... The rooms are still pretty well maintained as they should be considering the maintenance fees, Lighthouse building is completely remodeled and updated nicely. The outdoor areas are well kept and they've added a small bar/lounge area outside the market. It is true the food is expensive, the drinks weak and overpriced however that is true of almost all of the... More

The worst service I ever encountered, unfriendly staff, nasty administrative personnel, small rooms, noisy, radio is blasting by the pool, drinks are diluted, overpriced, food is disgusting. Go anywhere, but not there!

I went on vacation with my adult daughter and was advised to stay at the Marriott. There is Marriott Ocean Club, Marriott Stellaris and Marriott Surf Club. There were no availability for my dates at the other two, so we stayed at the Marriott Surf club. What a mistake that was! I have traveled extensively and have never seen such... More

In October 2014, my boyfriend took me to Aruba for the first time. I had never been out of the country before but I was sure glad that my first time was in Aruba. We stayed that Marriott Surf club and had the time of our lives. We were in the lazy river and the pool almost everyday. We went... More

Located next door to Aruba's Marriott Ocean Club on the White Sands of Palm Beach, the Marriott Surf Club has pretty much the same amenities as the Ocean Club. They both have access to the same beautiful beach and they are both have similar access to restaurants and shopping. The Surf Club has more/larger swimming pools. The nearest shops/mall area... We stayed at the Marriott before but this will definitely be our last time at this hotel. The rooms are tired looking and in need of a re-do. The furniture is worn and the bathroom needs to be re-modeled. The tile in the bathroom obviously has been redone but it doesn't match the colors now in the room. The staff... More

This hotel was taken over by a group of people in mid January and it made the stay unbearable. We could not relax or unwind. These people were rude, obnoxious, and noisy. I would never come here again in January. Our first time to Aruba and this ruined our trip and we will never forget it. The rooms and grounds... More

Returned from our annual trip to the Marriott Aruba Surf Club. Be aware that there is a huge Jewish congregation from NYC that descends upon the Marriott resorts on the island from mid to end of January- every year. Their tween/teen children are generally unsupervised and are running around all over the resort. They are loud, rude and obnoxious. One... More

We stayed in a studio in early December and the room quality was excellent. The decor is attractive and our room was clean and very well maintained and the beds are very comfortable. The resort had a more crowded feel to it than we like, but to be fair, we never had an issue finding a lounge chair. It was... More
