Just go back from our best ever holiday. Will do our best to give an honest appraisel of this hotel and resort. They say first impressions count, and our first sight of the Riu Palace was from the window of our plane, it stood out a mile above the rest on the beach, gleaming in the sunshine. Upon arrival at... more

Booking a Honeymoon is somewhat of a lengthy task. Trying to find that place that will provide you with a ralexing and special holiday unlike any other. Once again this trip was booked through the reliable Thomson brand. Having tasted a number of their Gold standard hotels it was time to step up to platinum. Was the Riu worth that... more

The best trip we ever had!! Service was fantastic, the food at the Riu was fabulous, with lots to chose from. all inclusive is the way to go. We had a room with a king-sized bed and sitting area, overlooking the fantastic pool and beach. GETTING A NICE SHADY HE BEACH WAS NOT CROWDED. THE WAITERS AND WAITRESSES TOOK CARE... more

Just returned from 2 fabulous weeks at the RIU Palace in Aruba. We were a party of 4 and were there to celebrate a 40th birthday. We had read many negative revues about this hotel prior to going and believe me MOST of them were totally undeserved. The hotel itself is lovely. The service exceptional and the location beautiful. Yes... more

Just came back last night, after reading the last few reviews, i can;t believe we are talking about the same place. My experience at the Riu was great. the meals in all the restaurants were tasty, and fresh. my lobster and steak in the steak restaurant were delicious. steak was tender and the lobster was good, not rubber at all.... more

This is our 2nd time back to Riu . Yes the beds are slightly hard, but just ask for softener ( foam pad to put on top) We avoided the restaurant on the beach, thought eating outside would be too hot. What a mistake, we tried it this year and where else can you get the best fillet mignon and... more

My husband and I returned yesterday from a week at the Aruba Palace. I want to start this review by saying that we are not that picky when it comes to our travel accommodations. Cleanliness is key for us, and comfort and service are important, of course, but we don't need lavish, 5-star accommodations all the time. We traveled with... more

We travelled to Aruba for a luxury holiday in June this year. We have stayed at many Riu hotels and felt confident of the quality to expect. We had been looking at Aruba for sometime and felt that we would splash out on this trip for something special. Having read the reviews before I soon realised that the infamous block... more
