we were made very welcome by the hosts, the house is well situated if you like walking in the forest or mountain bike riding, and not far from carmarthen town, the beds were lovely and comfortable and the room was very clean and warm with plenty of hot water for a shower and the food was excelant

What do you expect from an inexpensive B&B in remote west Wales? Warm welcome, flexible booking, lovely old dog, comfortable bed, beautiful weather, supper at the drop of a hat (OK, so the weather was a bonus). I have perhaps one complaint: no ice in my G&T. But hey, the perfect is the enemy of the good. Thoroughly recommended.

We couldn't have booked a better place to stay! We were 5 lads on a mtb weekend and this b&b was perfectly located for the rides we had planned. The owners John and Carol welcomed us in like friends and that's how we came away feeling. John's well stocked bar added a nice end to the day. The rooms were... More

Great place for mountain bikers and anyone else for that matter. John and Carole are fantastic hosts and made us so welcome. We were really well looked after and our room was ideal. Great set up for bikers too. Close to trails, good breakfast, storage for bikes and even a beer when you get back.

A large group of us stayed over when racing the Frostbike 40 in Brechfa, and we weren't disappointed! John and Carole were really welcoming, and managed to squeeze us all in without a fuss even though more had turned up than we had booked for. We didn't have to leave the b&b all night - they served a great, generous... More

We recently stayed here for a mountain biking weekend at Brechfa and were warmly welcomed into a clean and comfortable guest house. The owners, Carole and John, were very accommodating, offering a choice of dinner and breakfasts. We stayed in the room with the ensuite and everything was clean and homely. As a bonus, there is a bike shed to... More

We stayed at Glasfryn as a group of Mountain Bikers. It was a 5 minute ride to the Brechfa trail centre, so location wise great for us, but otherwise very secluded. John and Carol really showed great hospitality to us all, they provided fantastic home cooked meals and breakfast, great facilities including a bar,and just couldn't do enough for you.... More
