Went for lunch at the Red Lion in Llangadog today - excellent fayre and good value. A reasonable menu with a range of options and prices. Gastro pub it ain't but nevertheless good pub food all the same. The staff were friendly and attentive. Good to see the place open again!

Having recently been refurbushed to a very high standard the rooms are beautiful. We stayed in the Henry 8 room with its 4 poster bed and it is very very spacious. The bedroom has a very big bath and a shower. The breakfast was massive with everything from smoked salmon to cockles and lava bread. The only thing that was... More

I stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of a colleague and all I can say is that I'm glad that he did. Recently refurbished everything was obviously new looking but it did nothing to hide the wonderful history of the place. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, from my initial phone call through to my check out. This... More

Don't be fooled by these bad reviews!! There is a correct page for the red lion which is flooded with great reviews & the correct images. When looking for a place to dine for me & my family, I was recommended here by many, so we thought we would give it a try! Me & my family visited the recently-opened... More

We visited the newly refurbished and re-opened Red Lion for the second time last night 10.7.15. Our first experience was on a Saturday night just after opening, it was very busy and after being given a menu and being told that our order would be taken in 15 mins; we waited 45 mins then had to ask, we then waited... We went to the Red Lion for drinks following it's recent refurbishment. When we asked where the bar was, we were shown into the 'snug'. This was a tiny, dark room at the back of the restaurant. It had tiny copper-topped tables and uncomfortable bench seats. The drinks we ordered were served well and were reasonably priced, but we didn't... More
