Just returned from Aruba and a 4 night stay at the Renaissance. I heavily researched this resort before booking and cashed in several thousand Marriott points to stay here. Just about everything posted is right on - I wanted to add a couple of notes that I may have missed or that might be new. Keep in mind I stayed... more

My wife and I recently took a trip to Aruba for some Rand R. The hotel from the get go was a big dissapointment. We used Marriott points. The Renaissance was listed as a level 6 hotel, whereas the Marriott in Palm Beach was listed as a level 7. Having been fortunate enough to stay at another Marriott level 6... more

Took a quick weekend trip with friends to Aruba -- my first time there, but my husband had previously stayed at the Riu and our friends also vacationed at the Marriott a few years ago. We all loved the Renaissance. I would recommend this property for singles and couples; also families with kids who won't be intimidated by short boat... more

Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Aruba... for these reasons: 1. This hotel has it all. It is near all the restaurants, casinos, etc, and easy access to a beach. 2. Hotel has two hotels in one. The Marina suites and the Ocean suites. We stayed in the Ocean suites which have all the pools and a salt water pool. We... more

Hotel has it all! East commute from airport ,$15, 5-10 minutes max. Check in was a breeze, even was offered to check out additional room, as we wanted to upgrade to ocean view suite. Bed was great, only bad thing was no windows in bedroom, so we pulled out the sleep sofa in living area durring the evening to read... more

Stayed at Renaissance Ocean Suites (as opposed to the Marina) on a time share trade. Apparently Renaissance and Marriott further north give time share traders worst possible view rooms as a matter of policy. We joined the line of people complaining about their rooms when we checked in. We changed from a first floor parking lot view to a 3rd floor... more

My husband and I visited Aruba April 12-14 for a quick getaway without the kids. We stayed in the Marina Hotel (adult only, but this doesn't mean you won't see a kid or two around - they're just not sleeping or swimming here). Airport- Easy to navigate where you need to go, as it isn't very big! Since the Marriott... more

Renaissance Marina was one the best hotels I`ve ever stayed in my whole life. It was quite stressing to reach Aruba, as there are no direct flights from Brazil since a few years. Then we had a connection flight with Aserca fro Caracas with a 3-hour delay (they had offered us free lunch, but anyway I had better spent these... more

We stayed at the Ren Marina using our Marriot Points. Very easy Check-in as we did a Wednesday to Wednesday stay. The people at the front desk were very accomodating. We were originally in room 1435 , We asked if an upgrade was possible and for $30 more a night we received a room on the 6th floor. Rm 1650... more

My husband and I went to Aruba during Spring Break for my 30th birthday. The Reaissance was the only hotel during that time that seemed nice that wasn't booked. Initially I was not thrilled that we were on the Marina and had to take a boat to the beach, but once I got there my initial reservations flew out the... more
