This experience speaks volumes about the Copper and Lumber Store Hotel.

I was passing through Antigua with a 7 hour wait between flights, which allowed time for a meeting in English Harbour. Although the Copper and Lumber was closed for renovations, they offered me a day room that I could use to shower and change. This enabled me to go to glorious Half Moon Bay, have a walk and a swim, returning to the Copper and Lumber for a shower and a rest before going on to the airport for my onward flight - completely refreshed.

Such kindness and understanding of the needs of weary travellers is rare indeed, and deserves in my opinion, a special mention. more
