We stayed here for 3 nights in the studio room. Found it to be very comfortable and welcoming. Staff really friendly and accommodating. Great location steeped in history. Good WiFi, shower and very comfy bed.

Stunning location which gives a true buzz of the history in the Dockyard, Relaxing riverside grounds to enjoy a few daytime drinks & good food. Stayed at The Inn at English Harbour and came over to the Dockyard by Water Taxi each day for lunch. Lots if interesting buildings and boutique type shops plus the pleasure of people and boat... We stayed at the Copper & Lumber Store Hotel for 4 nights in March 2015, at the end of a three week holiday in Antigua & Dominica. We chose Nelson's Dockyard for our last few days because we'd spent a week earlier at Jolly Beach and wanted to experience something different elsewhere on the island. We chose the Copper &... More

We decided having driven around this was the best spot on the island. It's a beautiful old hotel with buckets of character and a beautiful secluded spot. The views are breathtaking and the walk over to pigeon point is great. We had a suite which was vast and on two floors. Only small niggle was that the room could do... More

Spent a week in Nelson's Dockyard, not staying at this hotel (which is really historical and beautful by the way), but stayed at the Admiral's Inn, which was terrific. Decided to venture further afield for breakfast one morning, and ended up spending almost two hours of our valuable holdaiy time having what should have been a quick breakfast visit. There... More

We decided to head to Antigua a day early to beat a snow storm out of New York and wanted a different scene than the remote resort we were headed to. The Copper and Lumber Hotel seemed ideal, and it was. The hotel is built into a historic building that ones stored, you guessed it, copper and lumber for the... More

We went with a large group of friends and couldn't resist calling in for a drink as the hotel is right in the centre of Nelson's Dockyard. After exploring the Dockyard we went into this charming original building constructed during 1783. As its name suggests it was used to store copper and lumber for ship building and maintenance. It is... More

We were impressed with Antigua as a whole: very friendly, safe, gorgeous beaches, excellent food. We chose Copper and Lumber as our base in Nelson Dockyards at English Harbor on the southern end of the island. I had a good feeling even before we arrived but it was super once we got there. The service and smiles were authentic and... More

The Copper & Lumber store is situated right in the centre of Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour. The harbour is full of ocean going yachts and at the time we were there there was a regatta being staged, so it was very interesting to see the yachts racing. The hotel itself is full of timber panelling and the suites are... More

If you are the sort of independent traveller who enjoys staying in hotels with charm, this is for you. Otherwise Antigua has a glut of 'exclusive' resort-hotels if you want a pool, busy bar and quick access to a beach. The Copper & Lumber store stands out from the rest and suited our style; gorgeous harbour-front location where we watched... More
