peaceful, quiet, tranquil...grand and royal. reminded me of the golden age of grand hotels. the breakers style...yet deserted. saw only about five other guests our entire stay. renovated rooms are nice. clean. happy, kind service. lots of security. the beach and deep bay are georgeous. prettiest on the island. rare to find such a protected bay, and to have it... more

This hotel is badly maintained, it shows on the entrance, the asphalt of the tennis courts is all black covered in dust and it looks bad. The lights of the walkway to the hotel has been hobby replaced so there are no longer any covers. On the beach we met a desperate lady seeking other fun activities since while staying... more

Stayed at this hotel as part of a cricket tour. Despite both teams and officials staying at the hotel we found the hotel dirty, chaotic, lacking in top class facilities and what we had to pay for overpriced. The taxi fare into St Johns seemed to be added to the price of a round of drinks and meals at the... more

This was suppose to be a superior hotel and there was nothing superior about it. The hotel had been closed for a number of months before opening to full capacity to accomodate people following the england cricket tour. In our room alone there was no t-making facilities, very poor furnishing, 2 plug sockets in room not working, jaccuzi in toilet... more

We found this to be a 2-star hotel charging 5-star prices. Ours was a standard ocean-view room with small balcony. We rejected our original room due to the lack of promised amenities (clock radio, hair dryer, coffee maker, etc.) and overall shabbiness. The sliding door to the balcony didn't work. We were reassigned to another room on the same floor... more

Having read the consistently poor reviews for this hotel we went on the holiday with a great deal of trepidation. We were there from the 9th Feb for 9 nights to coincide with the cricket. First impression was fantastic all the water features in the lobby are now working and I can only summise that the lobby area is where... more

Talk about Fawlty Towers. First they didn't accept that I had paid in advance through a hotel website and had to pay again. Renovations were underway with only half-a-dozen rooms occupied - and smelly and dirty. The guest lift didn't work and I was on the eighth floor (colleagues and I did find a service lift being used by the... more

We are a family of 5 and we read the reviews before booking this "hotel" and decided to try it...Big Mistake. We have travelled to many islands and this is the first time we regret our decision and we should've believed the negative reviews. If you absolutely must see antigua stay somewhere else. I could write pages and pages of... more

The Hotel is in a beutifull spot, but it was so run down that it depressed us. The staff were not very helpfull unless there was something in it for them. It is in a quite isolated place, no local bars (with the exeption of the local strip joint halfway up the hill next to the hotel) (so if you... more
