My family stayed there at the end of January 2015, when our flight was canceled and Buccaneer Beach club (see my review and story) found us The Barrymore. Jeremiah greeted us and was helpful. We stayed upstairs in 17A. He brought a bed, as we are 6 people. No AC in the main living room. Stovetop took a while to... More

From the helpful pre-arrival advice from Brian, the wonderful staff (Grant, Angela and especially Jeremiah), the size and appointments of the condo, the essentially private beach and beautiful view from the balcony terrace, and the proximity to one of the most amazing italian restaurants I have ever encountered, this place hits all the spots. Very close to St johns and... More

I echo the statements of all other patrons who stayed in apt 7. The location with respect to the beach was perfect. We spent every morning on the balcony having breakfast and planning our day. With a 14 year old the apt was great as he had his own bedroom and bathroom. Shopping was easy at either first choice or... More

First the GREAT....the location. It can't be beat for its proximity to the water's edge if you are lucky enough to secure the upstairs or downstairs units that face the beach. The sunsets from this vantage point are terrific. The restaurant that is on the property is La Bussola...a gem of an Italian restaurant that serves just dinner. Excellent food... More

We stayed here for 6 nights over the Thanksgiving Holidays! We stayed in the upper rental/oceanfront. The unit is SO CLOSE to the water, hearing the waves crashing was amazing. The beach is very small (due to past hurricanes) so if you are looking for a walking beach this isn't for you! If you are looking for AMAZING views... and... More

We had the upper unit in the beachfront building for the first week of our 11-day stay. The views and vibe are delightful. It is a tropical environment, so a few deceased cockroaches and some sand inside the unit isn't anything worrisome. The property owners and employees were wonderful, friendly, generous with both time and assistance, and all seemed genuinely... More

This place deserves a true four star rating based on its location. It is purely magical to be right on a beautiful, quiet beach with very few, if any, other people around. The room itself could use some work. When we first got inside, I immediately noticed spiderwebs and small bugs, sand and dirt in the corners of the room.... More

We spent 9 nights at The Barrymore and just loved it! To be that close to the sandy beach and turquoise waters of the ocean was heavenly. If you want solitude and peace, you found the right place. My husband and I felt like we were the only people around for miles. The apartment was very nicely furnished and had... More

Re-posting to include contact information as there isn't any above: http://www.vrbo.com/392247 We spent our honeymoon in Antigua at the Barrymore Beach Club apartments. It was perfect for our needs. A short ride from the airport, safe, near a large grocery store for all your kitchen needs, comfortable and right on a wonderful, quiet beach. We were in apartment 7A which... More

So it is not the most luxurious of places but.... very clean and the best view (from 7A) and you are steps from the beach and an amazing Italian Restaurant (La Bissoula). The on premise staff is friendly and welcoming! The local grocery store is not too far away and you are a short walk (10mn) to Antigua Village with... More
