Sunsail, why have you closed Club Colonna in Antigua? Our family which now consists, of 20+ youngsters have had many years of wonderful winter holidays at Colonna. We cannot speak highly enough of the club...excellent wind for sailing, windsurfing etc and for the boys just down the road they can kite surf!! We found the staff on the beach friendly... more

We visited the club during its last week of opening before it closes for summer. Having read the last few reviews was full of trepidation but thankfully, the fears were unfounded. Even from the beginning , with a friendly meet & greet at the airport & seamless transfer to hotel (less than ten minutes) we knew the week was going... more

Just returned from a week at Club Colonna, booked online in February (more of this later). Our fourth visit to Antigua - but our first to Sunsail. We booked because friends we were travelling with had been before and we had visited for the day on a previous trip and been impressed with what we saw. We weren't disappointed. Very... more

We choose club colonna as we wanted to combine beach activities with our wedding and honeymoon. Firstly i must congratulate Francine the reception manager for making everything just perfect , our wedding day outstripped all expectations and she is a credit to the hotel . The beach staff however were just downright terrible , i wouldn't employ them unless i... more

Just returned from our first sunsail holiday. We had a fantastic time, the food was excellent and we made some very good friends. If you are expecting 4* accommodation this is not for you. Rooms were very tired. However, the main purpose of a SunSAIL holiday is sailing. This area was very poor. There was no management of the beach... more

Have just returned from a fortnight at Colonna, very nice hotel although a bit tatty round the edges. The food was excellent, always a wonderful choice at each mealtime and very well prepared. The hotel staff were a real mixed bunch - either extremely nice to you or really couldn't be bothered and rude. The beach staff were too busy... more

We went to Club Colonna (Antigua) for the first time. It was the best holiday ever. Food was excellent and if you wanted to try any special food for e.g. "Pepperpot" ask the chef and it will be done for you. All of the (sailing, kitchen, bar, reception, cleaners, garden and the General Manager ) staff are excellent. Go on... more

I have been to Sunsail Club Colonna about 4 times for holidays. Each time the dinghy sailing and windsurfing has been fantastic. the food is ok, sometimes fabulous, sometimes just OK but they manage to feed everyone who always seem to want to eat at once! We have seen many improvements over the years, Sunail obviously listen to feed back.... more

We visited Club Colonna over Christmas 2008. We were told that the place had been refurbished, heaven knows what it was like before! Shower room black hole full of mildew. Lack lustre all round, management completely lacking in ability. Watersports average, kit old and tired. Entertainment consisted of general caterwalling from local choirs, one good band on Christmas Eve. Food... more

First week of the holiday very good weather for windsurfing(6metre sails), second week (8metre). Boat staff and boats are very efficient. Booked a two bedroom villa looking over the sailing beach. The villa was very clean spacious and comfortable ideal for a family. Buffet style meals always a varied selection of food, always attractive layout, (desserts could be better!). Having... more
