Good hotel if you like the action - very busy and very noisy all day and into night. Beach packed but you can walk further down to get away from crowds. Hard to find privacy except in your room. more

We decided to go to Sandals Grande Antigua to get married and I am so glad that we did! The wedding was perfect, the weather was amazing, and Antigua is paradise. This was our second stay at a Sandals and our 3rd overall all inclusive resort. We have stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian and a Secrets Excellence, now an Excellence Rivera Cancun so everything is in comparison to these resorts. Our room was terrible. The maid service was so inconsistant. When they would come in and we were in the room, they insisted on coming in nomatter if we were busy or not. The service was VERY slow! I liked this time of year very much - it was hot enough to be in and out of the water, and there were so few other guests that we often felt like the beach was ours and there were no crowds in the buffet restaurants. We loved our garden view; the grounds are so lush and alive with flowers... more

Back two weeks and already want to go "home" to Sandals Grande Antigua. This was our third visit there and could not be happier with our choice. Romanic and beautful.... it is like a dream.
