Nicely located on the beach with good service and standard overall. I would rate this a 3/4 star hotel and review it in this context. Avoid the all-inclusive package, rent a car and see the rest of the island which is gorgeous, especially Half Moon Bay and Tranquility Bay Food standards are much better around English Harbour. The staff are... More

My fiance and I stayed at Halcyon Cove Antigua for one week in February, and had a fantastic time. It was a great overall resort, clean and friendly staff. All rooms were just steps away from everything including the beach. Our room was 357 in the garden building and we had an amazing view of the ocean from our balcony.... More

I travelled to Halcyon Cove for one week in February, having booked the all inclusive package, and paying the single supplement as I am a sole female traveller. The airport: when the plane arrived, a tour representative directed people to a desk outside the airport, where I showed my voucher and she directed me to stand by a sign with... More

Just returned from 3 weeks wedding & honeymoon and our 2nd visit to Halcyon cove by Rex Resorts Antigua. Too much to say in this review everything was perfect. Our special day could not have been more idyllic. Special thanks to Deborah & her team. All the staff at the resort make it so special. The beach one of the... More

I have recently returned from a weeks stay at the Halcyon Cove (19th Feb 12). Ok the hotel could do with a refurb, but it gives it character and we found our room (poolside) to be clean and sufficient for our needs. The hotel is not on a big complex and therefore has a more intimate feel to it. Cannot... More

3rd time to Antigua had to come here after reading good reviews of dickinson bay beach, However sadly dissapointed, Beach decribed as one of best in Antigua in reality it was not cleaned once whille we were there 10 days. Uneven sand with daily seaweed left to rot on beach with leaves, cigarette ends and plastic cups.(Jolly beach much better)Four... More

Lovely location and the beach was beautiful. The sea was so blue it looks like its lit up. Staff in the hotel could not have been friendlier and after contracting a virus(not related to the hotel), the staff were more than helpful and checked on my friend and I to make sure we were ok. Had to change room because... More

We visited this hotel in 2008 and as we are now considering another holiday in Antigua felt a review was appropriate. As a first family Caribbean holiday it was excellent. I can still recall the grin on our 7yr old daughter as we landed at the airport and she helped herself to a fruit punch and danced to the steel... More

Agree with others - good value 3* hotel which would benefit from some redecoration. Food quite good, but the Rex in St Lucia had more choice - same for all-inclusive drinks. Location is excellent but the beach did have some seaweed, whereas Sandals next door thoroughly cleaned the beach every morning. The sand flies are Dreadful - take and use... More

We spent 2 weeks as guests of the Halcyon Cove Resort and it was everything we expected and more. We had read the Trip Advisor reviews and they were quite accurate. The staff and management did everything they could to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The rooms were very clean and the food was excellent. However, the lunch was very... More
