We were married at Carlisle Bay in October 2007 . We chose to get married at Carlisle Bay as we had been there twice before and thought it would be the perfect spot to tie the knot. We were not disappointed. The hotel is situated on the edge of the rainforrest on a beautiful bay with all the rooms spread... more

We were very disappointed with Carlisle Bay. The hotel website mentions a kids club but emphasises elegance and luxury, and the hotel brochure does not mention kids at ALL. Previous reviews mention that the kids and adults mix is not a problem at this hotel, so as a group of 4 adults we were expecting a relaxing "adult" time, but... more

I think Carlisle Bay was absolutely gorgeous, however, the experience we had on our honeymoon has taken me over a year to write because I was left so upset with the experience. First of all, all our travel agents materials said it was our honeymoon, but no-one even bothered to congratulate us when we arrived. When three days in some... more

We very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel during April, 2008. We travel with our 3-year old little girl and booked a beach suite for our stay. When we take a holiday, we go to relax. There are no to-do lists, no guidebooks...just relaxation. And, this is an absolutely wonderful place to just "chill out" on the beach. Very... more

First, to make things clear, there is a huge gap between what you see from Carlisle Bay on the pictures, advertisements, etc. and the reality. How could this be possible?!!!? What we saw was not even three-star grade: - Room was a major deception: dirty, worn out, small and pretentious, - Common areas are a great deception and dirty: littered... more

I stayed at this hotel with my partner back in May 2006 and, quite frankly, it is remiss of me not to have posted this review earlier. We booked the celebration package - it was my 50th birthday - and what a fantastic time we had. The executive transfer was superb, as was the greeting at reception. The beach suite... more

Fab room, great service, delicious food, high quality exercise classes, diving well managed but sea quite choppy and visibility not great. Beach quite short, can't walk for miles. Felt a bit captive. Didn't enjoy St Johns; 3 massive cruise ships in, place packed and dirty. more

We spent a week at Carlisle Bay (CB) over the Easter period. One of the biggest concerns I had about CB were reports about the number of young children at the hotel. Our experience was that there were quite a few young children but that they were generally very will behaved. There are 3 main areas where problems could have... more

We just returned from a week at Carlisle Bay, Antigua. The staff was amazing - true service w/ a smile and no tips expected. The food was very good - there is something for everyone on the menus. My husband had a wonderful beef dish at East. We have never found good beef in the Caribbean, so it was a... more

My wife and I plus our two year old twins had a wonderful stay in Carlisle Bay in Nov, 2007. The Carlisle Bay isn't cheap but it was a special occasion and we splashed out. I travel a lot with work and am used to a high level and standard of service and also not having to pay for it!... more
