On arrival you get the Welcome of the heat - and a Rum Punch! Fantastic beach, bar & overall site facilities! Variety of food available is ok, never hot hot - but that could be a brit thing! Marys Shack on the hill is an unusual alternative for lunch, and Joanne's omellette's at Breakfast are excellent! We hired a jeep... more

Returned from Grand Pineapple on July 4, 2009. We had both good and bad experiences there. The resort has some very beautiful grounds which are maintained very well. The rooms however, are in dire need of some 'sprucing up' in order to call this a 4 star resort. We stayed in the beachfront room and found it to be adequate.... more

We were greeted with smiles and rum punch at the reception desk which started the trip off wonderfully. They had already made a reservation for us for dinner so that was nice not having to worry about that. We were helped with our bags to our room and "shown the ropes" around the room and the resort. First off, location.... more

Gorgeous beach, good food, clean room. Glad we upgraded to a waterside room, it was worth it. There were some problems with the service: no soap in the room when we arrived. We called the front desk and were told it would be right there. It never arrived. The next day, the maid said she thought they were out but... more

This is a 3 star for an all inclusive resort. My family and I have been to 12 all inclusive resorts in the last 14 years in the caribbean, Panama and Margarita island. This was the most quiet and boring of all of them. They do not have an entertainment crew that puts on any shows, only bands that they... more

The location is the best on the island; beautiful beach, white powdery sand, lots of palm trees for shade, a cool breeze, a reef protecting the beach and giving the best snorkeling opportunity on the island. The resort grounds has a beautiful garden atmosphere and you can walk to Mary's outhouse on a ridge overlooking both sides of Long Bay.... more

Yes, it's been a while since my trip but judging from the other reviews it hasn't changed much. I thought I could add perspective as a day pass visitor from a cruise ship. I arrange for my family and six others from our cruise to visit this resort on an all-inclusive day pass, rather than doing an excursion booked by... more

After reading some of the less positive reviews we were slightly unsure as to what to expect so we thought we would let you all know what we found. Rooms. We were in a beach front room and the view was excellent, room could do with a refurbishment, though very clean. Food. Breakfast was buffet, with the usual choice of... more

We recently traveled to the grand pineapple for our honeymoon the begining of June. When we first got there, our ocean front room had a broken AC and broken Fan, but after contacting the reception desk they quickly got us a new room. The rooms were basic, nothing fancy, but we did not spend that much time in there. The... more

My friend and I went in May to relax and lay on the beach. The beach at Grande Pineapple was perfect! The water was wonderful, the sand was powder white, there were always plenty of chairs and the resort provided beach towels (you get a towel card when you check in). It would have been nice to have beach service... more
