A well restored 17th Century Inn now offering comfortable accommodation and friendly atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Michelline (and Eloise) looked after us extremely well and the breakfasts were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend break.

Comfortable apartment that provides an ideal base for touring the Brecon Beacons. The apartment provides all the necessary amenities and was warm and cosy. A great location if you want to get away from it all as there is limited mobile phone service. We had a great time exploring the surrounding areas and would happily stay again.

We found Pont Aber to be a perfect place for four of us to stay when walking the Beacons Way in June 2011 from Abergavenny in the East to Llandeilo in the West. Micheline could not have been more kind in picking us up and dropping us off in her car. The accommodation is very well appointed - comfortable and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Pont-Aber is situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, an old country inn dating back to 1604. The Bed and Breakfast is a family-run business. Micheline and Eloise welcome you to the old Pont-Aber Inn which we ran as a country pub until total renovation into a modern, stylish bed and breakfast. We offer full home- cooked breakfasts with a choice of three en-suite bedrooms each having multi-channel TVs, tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and wireless internet access for your enabled laptop (service is available in all rooms and public areas). Located on the Llangadog /Brynamman road (A4069), at the foot of the Black Mountain, nestling in a beautiful wooded valley.Flowing through the garden we have the River Sawdde (tributary of the River Towy) with fishing rights for our guests. We are situated on the road George Borrow took in his book "Wild Wales." Apart from the wonderful walking, hiking and angling in the area there are a wealth of other activities. ... more   less
