I stayed at Springfields Guest house for 3 nights. The location was very convenient to the center of Cwmbran (just a couple minutes drive). My room was nice and clean, and Theresa was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions on outdoor activities in the area. My favorite part, however, were the excellent breakfasts. Not only did they have a handful... More

Price was reasonable, plenty parking, breakfast a real treat, quality of everything above standard and felt so welcomed. I want to find an excuse to travel back up to stay again and wouldn't even think of looking at any other accommodation. I've found the one :)

We stayed for a 3 night weekend in April. Price was excellent. Easy to find, plenty of parking. Rooms was very welcoming and comfortable, on suite even though I hadn't asked for it. The guest lounge was big and comfortable. Our hosts were friendly from the first phone call to book, to our departure. Also very helpful with directions and... More

Theresa and Trevor are very welcoming and the whole feeling is one of homliness. The rooms are clean and individually furnished, with pictures and artefacts. The guests' lounge is large and very comfortable. The dining room is really individualistic, with fascinating ornaments, rustic furniture, and lovely Portmeirion crockery. The breakfast menu is large, ranging from the "Full Welsh" (which I... More

Springfields Guest House was our favorite stay on our recent trip to UK. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with tea and indescribably delicious Welsh cakes and it wasn't even 4:00! The room was spotlessly clean as was the bath. But more than this, the little extra touches like the down comforters, fluffed pillows, dressing gowns (bathrobes for the ladies),... More

Excellent place to stay with a lovely warm welcome on arrival. After driving from Bournemouth, a lovely cup of tea was just what I needed! Breakfast is to die for, and the room my daughter and I shared was lovely. The only one niggle I had is that another guest on the same floor as us was less than quiet... More

My wife and I enjoyed a 3 night stay. On arrival we were warmly greeted with Theresa providing a tray of hot drinks and cakes. The menu choice for breakfast is wide ranging and was excellent in presentation. During our stay my wife unfortunately sufferred an accident which inhibited her to climb stairs. A lovely guest house with extremely accomodating hosts. We had the annex in the gardens and it was very quaint and pretty room. A bit more private with it being away from the main house. Upon arrival was greeted by pots of tea and welsh cakes, very nice after a long drive. The breakfast was great with a choice of... More

I should have realised there was a problem from the moment of booking. Upon finding this delightful guest house online, I grabbed the telephone to enquire about availability, only to be greeted by an extremely hostile response about being in the middle of breakfast. I still went ahead to book as the follow up email appear more friendly. Our room... More
