A wonderful find off the Wales Coast Path, impeccably clean, beautifully and comfortably furnished. A wonderful respite after a day of trekking. The tub alone for a much needed soak was worth the stay but there was more, a delicious and generous breakfast, spectacular garden and grounds and friendly hosts.

We arrived a bedraggled group; 2 muddy walkers and their very muddy dogs. This was an overnight stop on the Welsh coast path. The utility room was set up with water and a bed for the dogs. Our room was beautiful. It would have been nice to have biscuits or similar on our arrival but there were some chocolate eclairs... More

Brick House is well maintained externally the ivy surrounding the building is picturesque it's also set by a working farm buts it extremely quiet the bonus is you get to see cows wondering in the next door fields. Inside was welcoming, the rooms where comfortable with tea coffee and bottled water provided. Our rooms where cleaned every day with fresh... More

We stayed here in June whilst on a motorcycle tour. The house is very Picturesque and in a lovely location, despite only being 10 mins away from the old Newport steel works. Trying to find out a little about the area and the house, I found Rodger incredibly informative and was only too keen to tell me all I wanted... More

we had a lovely welcome by Roger after visiting our daughter in Cardiff, great room, super breakfast in the morning and a lovely walk before departing, pity we didn't have time to relax in the lounge or have a drink at the bar, would recommend a few nights stay, ours was a bit rushed, looked like there was a good... I recently got married in the village, and several of my guests and I booked all the rooms out that weekend. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, the cooked breakfast was excellent. Good sized rooms and the setting is lovely with the Ivy all around the building. All my guests said they had a brilliant stay which means a... More

We were in the area for a wedding, and this hotel was perfectly located for it. The service was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfast was great. It was also refreshing to find somewhere so accommodating for young children. Would certainly visit again!

My partner and I stayed here a few weeks ago as we were visiting some family near by. We had a lovely warm welcome & a lovely stay here for two nights. Rooms were immaculately clean, beds were very comfortable. Such a quiet and peaceful location. Breakfast in the morning was very well presented. Would recommend this place highly.

An imposing and characterful house, attractively set with a nicely maintained garden in an area seemingly lacking accommodation. Easily reached from the Coast Path and a good pub (The Rose Inn) is within easy walking distance. Room good (shower a bit cool) and good breakfast. I was also provided with a sandwich for the onward journey westwards - a wise... More

We were walking the Wales Coast Path and booked in at short notice with two small dogs. We were able to dry our (very) wet gear and made to feel very welcome. The owners could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean and homely and we would recommend this to anyone else walking the coast... More
