We stayed in the Cedar Building at the resort for 5 nights in September, 2011. We had initially reserved a room by mistake in the pet friendly building, but my wife is allergic to dogs. I booked my stay here after reviewing their website. I arrived in the dark and after making my way down a long dirt road arrived at the office. My favorite girl and I enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at the Ocean Gate Resort in mid September. Our room, a single room and bathroom, overlooked a scenic rocky harbor. A full and filling breakfast was included. There are probably no "bad" or "unscenic" places to stay in the Boothbay environs, but we will surely return to the Ocean Gate.... More
