I stayed at the Oak House whilst on interview at a local school. I spent two nights here. It was without doubt one of the best b&bs I have stayed in. The rooms are spotlessly clean with modern fixtures and fittings. The attention to detail is outstanding. The owners (Martin and Denise) pride themselves on bringing the finest aspects of... More

My husband and I returned to Bruton a little under 18 months after getting married there, and we again stayed at The Oak House. It was really nice to go back and to spend time in the beautiful hotel together. It was particularly nice to enjoy an amazing breakfast spread the morning after our stay, as the last time I... More

The hosts here made me feel extremely at ease. Nothing was too much trouble, the room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. There is plenty of parking and the selection of products for a continental breakfast was amazing. Definitely worth another visit when I am next in the area.

We were in Bruton (a town I knew well) for a sad reason. Despite this the hosts made us very welcome and a our three night stay was very comfortable. We had a lovely welcome and were shown around (bit of a challenge finding the entrance door - not helped by me remembering it as the Royal Oak pub). The... More

The oak house is an old building that has been fitted out beautifully. Our room was comfortable and spacious with large bathroom. We were able to access the room before going walking which was great. Fabulous breakfast but continental style so don't expect a cooked one.

Interesting little B&B . All about the rooms that are ok and clean . Having said that the room allocated to me ( Chapel ) had the smallest corner shower cubical I have ever seen . If you are on the larger side don't expect to be able to use it . The extractor fan was also very loud indeed... More

We have five guest rooms and during your stay with us, all of them were booked and used. We find that most guests enjoy a level of privacy and quiet and find that our keypad entry system works well in enabling guests to come and go as they please during their stay and allows them to arrive whenever suits them.... Don't hesitate to stay here if you are visiting Bruton. The rooms are spotlessly clean, quiet and well furnished. I particularly enjoyed the home made chocolate brownie. I only stayed for 1 night and unfortunately was ill during my stay. Denise could not have been kinder. She went to the pharmacy and got me some medicine. As I was unable... More

This B&B is run by a couple who have been immensely successful caterers, and who still run a flourishing catering business. We stayed because we were attending a birthday party for a friend which was being held at Oak House, and we had a superb evening. The atmosphere and decor was just right and the food, as usual, superb. We... More

Oak House was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed there last year. Denise and Martin were charming and hospitable .. our room was charming and perfectly comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning and enjoyed a sunny weekend in Bruton!

From the moment of arriving we have had a wonderful stay at Oak House. Arriving to home made brownies and cakes was such a thoughtful and small touch but really makes a big difference. Martin and Denise took the time to introduce themselves at breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed to be as comfortable as possible. Breakfast... More
