We stayed in Malta for five days recently for the wedding of some university friends. We chose the Burrow partly through the reviews on Trip Advisor, partly because of the location (quiet, handy for the airport, and fairly close to Valletta). As it turned out, I don't think Tarxien was as convenient a location as we'd thought it would have... More

We arrived at The Burrow with unfortunately not any of the senior family members present, nor when we returned later in the evening. Although we mentioned in correspondence we would leave very early to catch our flight, this was not anticipated for. We had a room all the way up the stairs with a shared family bathroom 1 floor below.... More

We loved our stay in the burrow...despite of small hiccups such as Taxi man not finding the place and no hot water on one of the nights. But the experience of staying in a proper Maltese town, in a beautiful family home is hard to beat. If you wanna escape the horrible looking tourist traps such as Paceville, then Tarxien... More

In May we travelled to Malta and planned to stay one night in this B&B. We booked in advance, had several email contacts and even a phone call two days before arrival, to confirm being picked up from the airport and the reservation. When we arrived at 22:30 in the evening with two small children and there was no one... More

We were guests a couple of days ago and really liked the family style and breakfast idea. Chiara, the owner and manager is a a warm hearted women trying her best to satisfy all her guests. We though recognized that some guests were very loud in the house. A french family had two misbehaved kids of which the little one... More

The architecture drew me to stay here, but if you have difficulty with old, stone houses, this will deliver.. although only I, not my companion, noticed, there was the smell of moisture in the stone that one finds in old stone houses. That aside, it's a rabbit warren of lovely, well-appointed rooms, with lovely beds, and friendly hosts and their... More

We stayed here because it is close to the airport, and the Temples and the Hypogeum. We were picked up from the airport, for a charge of 20euros, at 11.30pm. The guesthouse is a labyrinth and the circulation areas are very cluttered with the owners' possessions (they do have 5 children!) Some might find this cosy, we found it untidy.... More

Nice renovated old house in the old neighborhood. Close to some attractions (Hypogeum + Tarxien Temples). Very friendly and talkative hosts. No problem with parking close to the property. You stay in the big family house (five children). If you prefer to have a full privacy at quiet place, this property is not for you. If you accept it, you... More

Nice old town of Tarxien and the family was very warm and kind. The house is a characteristic maltese. Breakfast is excellent with various sorts of homemade jam. Frank is very nice host to talk to. Would go again

We booked a room with a shared bathroom as it appeared on booking.com like it would have a patio or outside space with it, after all, patio is not mentioned on their other rooms on the same site, but it is with this room. It was disappointing not to have associated outside space, perhaps it meant the central courtyard on... More
