My top two priorities when traveling are this: safety and cleanliness. No problems here. Tarxien is a small village, easy to access through bus lines to major attractions. When we travel, we specifically look for ways to interact with locals on a personal basis, and this guesthouse/BnB certainly accomplished this. We found Frank and Chiara to be personal and friendly,... More

Dear Amy and David, Thank you for taking the time to review The Burrow. Once again I would like to thank you both for choosing The Burrow for your holiday in Malta. It was a pleasure to host you, we spent a lovely few days in your company. Warm regards, Chiara, Frank and the children More

I highly recommend this wonderful inn: Chiara, Frank and their friendly family will kindly welcome you in their house and will always make sure that you are comfortable and taken care of. Lovely house, lovely rooms. Excellent continental breakfast (and that's damn important for the French girl that I am!). Attractive prices in winter.

I can thoroughly recommend this place to stay. It is central to a wonderfully historic town, shops and ancient temples are within walking distance. The B&b is quaint and a joy to explore and the hosts are as warm and as welcoming as can be; as well as being a mine of helpful information. Main bus routes to the rest... More

I definitely made the right choice by staying at The Burrow. I was happy to overlook some of the things that other reviewers seem to have reservations about because Chiara and Frank were so welcoming and helpful. The place is a fantastic old property, full of charm and a nice place to come home to each day, especially when guests,... More

When we arrived at The Burrow we were met nicely enough by Frank, and taken through the various nooks and steps until our room, the (only?) one with a private bathroom. As soon as we put our luggage on the floor Frank whisked out our bill, asking us to pay the outstanding amount on the spot, and if we wanted... More

At The Burrow we take customer comments and recommendations very seriously and are open to constructive criticism in order to satisfy our clients better. It is not our custom to respond to reviews however I would like to clarify some of the issues raised. The Burrow is a host family bed and breakfast so the client is welcomed within a... More

We had only one night on Malta (after spending a few nights on Gozo previously) so we chose to stay at The Burrow due to its proximity to the airport for an early morning flight home. However, we still wanted to stay somewhere nice for the last night of our holiday and presumed from the website, and the cost of... More

Two friends and I stayed for 4 nights at The Burrow and overall had a positive experience. Frank and Chiara are extremely hospitable and friendly, and the place is beautiful- wonderful little nooks and angles and fun decorations in this gorgeous building. I loved the atmosphere and how cozy and welcoming it felt. I'm used to staying in hostels so... More

I was there for a week with my husband and my 5 months old baby. Chiara and her big family are so nice and happy. Chiara is also a very good cook, it’s a pleasure to eat her food with her family and with the other travelers. We really appreciated our time spent at the burrow, it was exactly what... More

We stayed for 2 nights with Frank and Chiara and had a lovely time with them and their kids. While this place is not in a tourist area, it was very accessible to Valetta by bus and walking distance to historic sites in the neighbourhood. We enjoyed the company of our hosts and appreciated their help with suggestions for where... More

We spent a couple of days in Tarxien during a journey dedicated to the discovery of the sacred places of the Mother Goddess. The Burrow was a lovely place to stay (only ten minutes walk from the wonderful Neolithic Museum, 15-20 minutes by bus to La Valletta), a wonderful traditional limestone building, with beautifully furnished rooms, a lovely and cosy...
