Stayed in cabin with fabulous view of lake and mtns. Bed very comfortable. We had our own bedding. No hot water, but did have stove and refrig and coffee maker and all dishes. The commode worked correctly as did the electric heater. Hot showers are nearby and clean. Heard the train a few times but did not think it loud... More

A good friend of mine, Cory, brought me to this place. Since this was his 8th trip here in only a couple years, I thought it must be nice. It was May long weekend We walked into the office and Rick, the owner, was standing there and remembered my friend by his first name. That says a lot. We stayed... More

My first trip to Kinbasket was last summer. We were looking for a place to spend a few nights on our way back from the coast and came upon the Kinbasket sign so we headed down the gravel road. The first thing we see are these signs indicating we are getting closer, almost there, well worth the trip, etc. These... More

Negative: The lake was incredibly cold, crowded with logs and other debris, fishing was not great my cousins caught more small "white fish" as we called them then anything. The campsites were close together ; not allowing much privacy. one last MAJOR thing: THE TRAIN!!!!! this train comes 4 times an hour and blares its horn 4 times getting louder... More

We certainly appreciate the candid thoughts of this customer however there are a few misconceptions and discrepancies we'd like to address. The first being the train which does run nearby, but will at its maximum capacity run only 30 trains per day or less than 1.5 per hour, not 4. There is no regular schedule for the trains so sometimes... More

We were on a three week trip through Canada from germany in 2004 when we stayed at the resort first time. It is such a great place for people to enjoy the nature that we came back in 2005. Now we have two little boys and can`t afford to visit Canada again. But we always remember the time in Kinbasket.... More

Stayed with family here recently and loved it! Great vienws, helpful staff, very clean washrooms, nice hot showers, wheel barrow of good wood for $8. Train came by once every two hours or so but wasn't overly annoying at all. The lake was very high this time of year so swimming was fine, driftwood here and there, you just have... More

Firstly I've got to say that this site is 5km off the main road down a winding sandy road! Something to bear in mind for rental RVs who mightnote take kindly to using their vehicles for off paved highways! Ours was covered in dirt mainly due to the rain making the drive muddy. That aside the view is WELL worth... More

We booked 3 nights here based on the website. It is in a beautiful area of the province with magnificant views. We had a 1 bedroom cabin. Very dated. No hot water. Nice little deck though overlooking the lake. We weren't expecting the trains though and really were not expecting that they would run most of the night, usually 2/hour... More

We just spent several nights at Kinbasket lake resort in one of their cabins. What a great time we had! The staff were really friendly and helpful (especially the Kiwi couple). Our cabin was just what we were looking for- on the water with a beautiful view and having all the necessary comforts (electricity, toilet, comfy bed, fridge etc). Had... More

My family and I recently stayed at the Kinbasket Lake resort and found it dissappointing. Loud trains run right next to the camp ground all day and all night...at least one per hour. Each train honks it whistle 4 times each time they cross the road which is just above the campsite...the track was literally about 150 feet from our... More
