We visited this campground in Mid July on our way from Vancouver Island to Calgary to attend a wedding. This is a magical spot that was created by the Columbia River treaty by building the Mica Dam. We arrived late, with no reservations and just wanted to cook and go to bed. The spot the gave us was next to... More

resort is ok - active logging road is only approx 50 meters from campground - extremely dusty and loud when logging trucks are running - all the time - railroad main line is close to campground - very noisy - train passing almost hourly - 5 km logging road to get to resort - very dusty when dry - extremely... The place is alright. Me and my wife thought we would get a nice sleep knowing the place quiets down at 10pm... Then all we could hear was the owner laughing across the campground drinking with the customers til 11:30pm. Completely unprofessional and we will just take our business to one of the free campgrounds further down the logging road... More

We stayed in the Rogers Pass Cabin August 15-18 2014. My 3 kids ( 14, 6 and 4) had an absolute blast during our stay-- from the playground to beachcombing and swimming, to exploring some of the quad trails across the bridge. They were actually asleep at a decent time because they played hard all day. The beach area was... More

The scenery is amazing! The camp spots are not. No beach, no boat rentals, not much to do. Train goes by a lot! We got used to that. Then the logging trucks would start in. I would never go back because of the noise. He may not be a hotel...but spend a bit and put some soap in your bathrooms.... More

My family and I stayed at the Kinbasket Lake Resort on the August long weekend. There were both positive and negative aspects about the resort. On the positive side, owner Rick is a charming guy, the lake is very scenic and is a lovely light blue color, the kayaking is excellent, there was lots of hot water, toilet paper and... More

My husband, children, myself and dog were on a camping adventure. We saw the signs for this campground and thought we would check it out. Upon arrival a woman pointed where to park....then my husband and dog jumped out and were immediately shouted at. "Put your dog on a leash!" My husband asked if they were dog friendly and the reply was... More

I'd like to thank this person for probably the best promotional piece this summer. If you want to visit a campground where you, your children and your campsite can be approached or worse, by dogs off the leash and you want to watch every step for the leavings of dogs "happily frolicking" without their owners supervision then by all means... My husband, parents, dogs, in-laws and I had the most wonderful stay at the Kinbasket Lake Resort during the last week of July! We rented 2 cabins one being the larger one (Revelstoke cabin #6) and the smaller one right next door. 4 people and 2 large dogs stayed in the Revelstoke cabin and it was the perfect size. It... I dont know what people expect but its a campground not a 5 star hotel, there is all the service you need and one of the most beautifull lake in the roockies. I must admit you better reserve before going since all the site are not super private (just like 90% of all campsite around) but we loved our short... More
