The Australian owners have turned a lovely old house with beautiful dimensions into an excellent B and B: rooms are spacious with high ceilings, decoration is attractive and the wide staircase is an added attraction. We stayed two nights. On first night dinner was served, just for the two of us, on the lawn behind the house, in the midst... More

Warmest of welcomes from John and Lee-Anne, Aussie escapees from the hot-house city life! Now in the hot-house restaurant and hospitality business, and exceptionally well-suited to this life, one must conclude. Usually serving an in house table d'hote evening meal, but on our night, resident foodie expert chef,Lee-Anne, was officiating in the kitchens of the local hostelry across the square,... More

Our second stay using both the B&B and gite. Charming home which the hosts John & Lee-Anne have restored beautifully, creating a relaxing haven. Adjacent garden and pool add to the enjoyment. Lee- Anne's meals are excellent value served in style. A wonderful find and excellent value.

Excellent hosts and a building that could easily have featured in "Renovation Rescue," L'Impasse du Temple with it's extensive garden and swimming pool, large rooms and wonderful cuisine, is a place I could return to again and again.

I was taking a painting course in the summer of 2001 & this was our base. From the moment we arrived until the day we finally departed we were simply pampered beyond anything one could imagine. What also made the painting workshop of 4 Canadian artists w Peter so effortless was that our hosts conjured up the most incredible lunches... More

My husband and I spent a week in the very cute gite attached to this B&B. Arrived tired, after a long drive and were delighted with the very well-set up cottage with views over a lovely garden. Dinner that first night was provided by Leanne and was of exceptional quality. Probably one of the best meals of our nine week... More

My wife and I recently returned from 12 wonderful days in the Languedoc, three of which were spent with John and Lee-anne Furness in the little village of Leran. The Furness's B&B, L'Impasse du Temple, is situated in the very center of the village and it includes the house itself (3 floors), a lovely courtyard, and, out back, an inviting... More

The drive from Montpelier was certainly worth it to stay in this fabulous bed and breakfast and enjoy the hospitality of John and Leanne. Nothing was too much trouble and the meal served in the Courtyard on a balmy summers evening was one of the highlights of our summer holiday in Europe. Lazing by the pool in the magnificent garden... Our 1 night stay at John and Lee Ann's place was lovely. Clean and pretty room with a relaxing swim in their pool in the surroundings of a gorgeous garden. Very welcoming hosts with a delicious breakfast. Very helpful with ideas of where to travel onwards.

Thanks Lee Anne and John for another great stay. Good fun as always and enjoyed by John and I for the 6th time. Clearly becoming a habit which is hard to kick. Our friends all had a good weekend mid stay and this was highlighted by the exceptionally good meal cooked by Lee Anne. We missed being able to get... More
