We stopped here on the Camino de Santiago - the hotel was a treat. A very comfortable room just off the main square of town. We stayed 2 days and enjoyed a beautiful short hike up the river path. Caldas de Reis was one of our favorite spots on the Camino - a lively small town up in the hills.... More

As Soltropo said in their review … on the road to Santiago this hotel has a great location. After a hot day on the Camino the pool and then the spa (which is essentially a large Jacuzzi) was a life saver. The hotel is not really much and could use some maintenance, like mowing the grass around the pool. It... More

Did you ever watch "The Road to Wellville" about Kellogg's first spa at the turn of the 20th century? Well, this feels like you've stepped back in time to that 1900's building. Though it's obvious there has been some upgrading to the bathrooms, our bedroom was old, smelled horrible, and was really sparse. The breakfast was all canned fruit and... More

On the way to Santiago, this hotel has a great location. You just walk into it even before getting to the city's albergue. Caldas is known for its termal waters. There are pleces where you can put your feet and get a great free spa for them. In this hotel they have an indoor pool where you can recieve excellent... More

We stayed in this hotel on our way to Santiago de Compestela. For just 25 euro each we had a twin room with a very large balcony over looking river and garden. (Maybe we got an upgrade?) The reception/sitting area had a lovely old world feel to it reminiscent of a different era. The treatment rooms were more clinical than... More

We were walking the Camino but most of the other guests were there for the spa and traditional public rooms. Our room was in the newer motel-like section. The room had a nice view of the lawn and trees and was very quiet and clean, if not particularly charming. In the morning, the walkers were sent to a different room... More

We were en route to Santiago (pilgrims) and did not want to stay in Alburgues the entire way. We checked 2 other places before here (not happy with price and service of other places). Price was 70E for 3 people, with simple breakfast to go. Room was basic, towel warmer did not work (a perk) and bathroom had a funny... More

We stayed one night in this nice hotel on our way to Santiago de Compostela in May 2013. We stayed not in the main building but in the yard where the brand new rooms are. Everything was clean and comfortable. Central heating system was working and that was very important since the weather was pretty cold then. Shower cabin has... More

despite all our efforts to communicate with the front desk staff and rude restaurant staff, they made no effort to make us comfortable after a long day of walking in the rain. not only did we feel out of place but also unwelcome. the food was horrible and the bed was hard. the best part about this hotel was the...
