This is the second time i have stayed at this resort. have inspected all the room types and must say if you can to always upgrade to the beachfront deluxe or beachside deluxe rooms. gorgeous beach for relaxing and snorkelling. good value for food at the resort and the show is well worth doing "island nights". the kareoke night on... more

First off consider where you are going. If you are wanting a hot sunny tropical holiday you are unlikely to get it. Temperatures are typically low 20's in the non-cyclone season. I thought our experience was unlucky with 14 days rain & wind - not so, according to many others who have been and that we have talked to since.... more

Our family stayed at this Hotel for 7 nights in a Beach front Bungalow. It was fantastic, right on the waters edge, own private patio on top of the roof. It had an private outside shower also. Full kitchen, lounge area. Would recommend this to familys staying for long periods. Kids club was amazing and my kids had a blast.... more

We spent the last 2 nights of a month long stay in the Cooks here. Staff were helpful and friendly and our garden room was pleasant but could do with a refurbishment of the bathroom. We enjoyed the restaurant, great buffet breakfast and fabulous cocktails and smoothies. Great beach excellent activity programme and free equipement for water activities. good bar... more

We stayed a week at the Rarotongan in May 2009 and had a wonderful time. After reading some of the less-than stellar reviews, we had a bit of apprehension before we arrived. Some people are way too picky and always look for the negative, because in our opinion, the poor reviews were totally unfounded. We had a beachfront suite, which... more

We have just spent 8 night with great service and friendly staff. But management needs to stop and think of the guests that are there for a holiday not a wedding. I was disappointed that everyday except for Sunday there was a wedding right outside our room. On some days 2 weddings. So on our return to our room in... more

We travelled to Rarotonga from Melbourne for a one-week family holiday in May 2009. Although the saving grace of the resort was the lovely lagoon, (great for small kids), the resort itself was very poor on all other dimensions. We were on holiday, and so did not expect everything to go perfectly, however we dd have some expectation of good... more

Rooms were very tired and 'basic'. First room we stayed in was delux oceanfront. Second was 2brdm Oceanside. Both rooms required maintenance during our stay due to things not working or falling apart. We were constantly having people just open our door and come in (without even knocking) at all hours. First night was 2am - security (thought place was... more
