This hotel is definitely more suited for families. My friends and I chose to stay here based on the price and location of the hotel. The Garden View rooms for 3 people are definitely too small, so I'd suggest looking at the villas/upgrading to a bigger room. If you have a family this place is definitely for you but if... More

We called into the Rarotongan Resort for a late lunch. We were the only ones there at that time. I asked if it was to late for lunch and the waitress said no, so we sat outside and watched the fish. We didn't have any idea we would wait 1.1/2 hours for lunch for three. We were very hungry and... More

My husband and I enjoyed a trip to Rarotonga for our babymoon. We stayed on the Sanctuary side of the resort which was quiet and relaxing. We spent our trip catching up on some sleep, relaxing by the pool and exploring the island. The service was great. The breakfast was lovely with allot of options. We found the meals at... More

The island is fabulous. Low key, quiet and gorgeous. The snorkeling is the best anywhere and. The water is pristine. You actually stand in the water and watch the colorful fish. No fast food chains or talk buildings. This gem in the south pacific is incredible You don't need shoes!! Many of the fine restaurants. Are on the beach in... More

Helpful, friendly staff, nice upgrade to beachside unit. If we went again we would opt for The Sanctuary which would be more suitable for couples without children. This is a concept that would have appeal for older people for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Good family entertainment.

I stayed here in dec 2013. I stayed in a garden room and a honeymoon room. The honeymoon room was great to have our own pool sauna and spa. The garden room was also good. Both great rooms. Lots of free activities and great view overlooking the water at breakfast time. The girls at reception were very welcoming and helpful.

We had a beach front unit and these are great. probably the most cost effect true beachfront units on one of the best beaches on the island but the resort is tired and needs a refurbish. Snorkelling and beach activities are great but do depend on which staff member is on at the time. We did not appreciate being told... More

We booked a water view room with balcony which we got, lovely views and we were lucky with southerly breeze, of a nite time we would leave door open ( fly wire door, no bugs to come in ) and you could hear the surf all night.Room was large with king size beb but a TV from the 80's, needs... More

My family and I stayed at the Rarotongan for a much needed break earlier this year, the staff were friendly, and the accomodation located right on the beach front was beautiful. Thanks so much to all the staff - we had a ball and will be back!!

Hotel was great, room was spacious, king size bed, lots of pillows, Jug, fridge, safe, nice deck area outside, very private for sitting out and relaxing. The deck over the lagoon is great, great views. Activities there if you are interested, otherwise, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Was traveling with someone in a wheelchair and the hotel... More
