I stayed at the Hotel Alan for three nights on a Saga Tour (Land of Culture and Beauty Revealed). In my view it was the best of the hotels the tour used. I was able to spend the evenings in the spa, in the 3 saunas - various heat levels - and swimming in the small but adequate indoor pool.... more
We stayed at Hotel Alan in April 2006. The hotel itself is in Starigrad Paklenica near the entrance to the national park. We had planned to stay two nights, with half-board. BlueSun, the chain owning the hotel, seems to have aspirations of offering up-scale, all inclusive accomodations for families. (We figured this out when we arrived. We were seeking neither... more
