our stay on Oct. 15,2013 was terrible. The room we were given was freezing and we had to chase down the young man who had taken us there to turn on the heat. We were assured the room would be warm "in a few minutes" so we went downstairs to eat. Came back...no heat! Three hours later, still no heat... More

The George Hotel and Restaurant has now closed its doors to customers, to the great relief of all local residents who have seen this once lovely hotel degenerate into a grubby, unfriendly hole. Thankfully, the premises literally next door, called NextDoor, are superb, with an excellent restaurant and rooms above. Highly recommended.

Called in here for a drink (and originally to get something to eat) as we wanted to check this place out for future stays (family at the RAF base) however we were not impressed with our findings. It was dingy inside and felt like it could do with a good clean in the bar area. The barmaid didn't appear interested... More

The "hotel" was booked by the company I was working for, having looked the reviews up online you tend to think people over exaggerate and often people think they should deserve better but how anyone can review this above terrible is baffling. My arrival seemed on par with others, 4 people sat around the bar playing cards, I entered into... More

I last stayed at The Goerge Hotel Odiham in 2011, which was a pleasant experience. Although the decor was a little dated, it was clean, with friendly staff and good food. Fast forward to 2013 and it's a totally different place... We were greeted by staff who didn't appear especially interested in our arrival. The landlord looked a little disgruntled... More

Staff are friendly and pleasant. Serious investment would be needed to bring this place up to anything like modern day standards. Stuck somewhere in the past - being 500 years old isn't an excuse for poor standards. The age of the hotel should be an asset rather than an excuse for dingy carpets and bathrooms. Would not even contemplate standing... More

The most faded grandeur you could imagine. I would not give it 1 star and the thought of staying there would be out of the question - rather sleep in the back of my car !!!! The hotel, bearing in mind its age and position in Odiham, should be a jewel in the crown but sadly not.

This used to be such a good quality hotel with fantastic food and service, what a change in three years since my last visit. It's clean but tatty in all areas the food is simple, dull and I can only think out of a packet. Staff were friendly but was very pub standard ant hotel prices. Please improve what used... More

I stayed for two nights, first night was okay, reasonably comfortable bed, albeit a single, but I slept reasonably well. The rooms are a little out-of-date, but I never spend too much time in the rooms anyway. A little put-off by carpet on the floor in the bathhroom. I have to say that I was a little surprised how quickly... More
