A beautiful, peaceful and unassuming place to stop if you're touring St Emilion or if you need a place to decompress after landing at Bordeaux and while on your way to the Dordogne. St Emilion, for all its charm, can be somewhat crowded and bustling. If you're staying at Moulin de la Grangere, you're just a short drive to a... More

Our stay here was fabulous! Alain and Marie were so kind and helpful. They gave us suggestions of where to go and how to get there. They also arranged a chateau tour for us and made dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant for us. They were very accommodating and made us feel at home. Their pool is beautiful and relaxing.... Alain and Marie, the owners, were the epitome of "hosts with the most!" Marie makes her own yogurt and jam (with fruit they grow), which is served each morning. The breakfasts are perfect. The accommodations are comfortable and modern. Their pool is beautiful. The setting is outstanding. You are surrounded by vineyards. The sunsets are gorgeous. You can walk to... More

Spent another three days with Marie and Alain. Be sure to print out a detailed map before you arrive. The B & B is about one mile south of St Emilion and then about one mile east! This truly charming gem has three rooms. One is large with a spacious bathroom, room two has a large first floor and upstairs... More

This a great low end option to get out of the bustle of St Emilion. Pros: Gorgeous spot in the middle of vineyards. Few minutes drive to St. Emilion. Owners are friendly with great restaurant recommendations Cons: Beds are not tidied, no new towels and no trash emptying. Extremely difficult to find as Rich Steve's directions are wrong. We are... Very picturesque and 10 minute drive to the outstanding town with wonderful buildings, wine tasting caves and food. The hosts try really hard with their English as we did with our French. Great recommendations for restaurants and personalized tour of wine vineyard. Be sure to obtain detailed instructions or you will have severe difficulty finding it. There is no housekeeping... More

We spent four nights here and loved it. The setting is idyllic- the old house and barn remodeled into a home and rooms, the trees, the vines, the hills. And, a wonderful swimming pool to use if it is warm enough to do so. The breakfast included was also terrific- fresh coffee, bread, croissants, jams and homemade yogurt. It is... More

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon. The property is beautiful, the hosts are helpful and nice, the room was nice, and it's a great location. Not much else I can say, it's pretty much perfect for what you would want in St Emilion.

As 1 of 2 couples traveling around France, a key stop for us was St. Emilion with its vineyards and wines. We were so happy to find Moulin de la Grangere. The location was great since it was a short drive to St. Emilion and the area. And as luck would have it, we were a stone's throw from the... More
