As 1 of 2 couples traveling around France, a key stop for us was St. Emilion with its vineyards and wines. We were so happy to find Moulin de la Grangere. The location was great since it was a short drive to St. Emilion and the area. And as luck would have it, we were a stone's throw from the... More

Moulin de la Grangere is a lovely bed and breakfast surrounded by vineyards. Our room was very spacious, very clean and comfortable. The pool is absolutely gorgeous and a wonderful place to relax either before or after visiting a few wine chateau. The property is just minutes from the medieval town of Saint Emilion and it's monolithic church. Marie and... More

We had asked the host, via email to send us directions, and they sent GPS coordinates only. We were unable to enter these coordinates in our rental car GPS, and unfortunately do not speak French to have called the hosts for directions when lost. We drove around for 2 hours, asking locals for help. Finally, a local man let us... More

You're right, it's not that easy to find us, but St Emilion is classified by UNESCO, we can not put traffic signs. But from that day, we will join a plan to all our emails to find us more easily. I hope that we will be better next time. Alain More

Can't imagine spending a fortune to stay right in St Emilion when you can stay at a very comfortable spot like this. Hosts were very friendly and ready with suggestions for dinner and seeing the area. You are minutes from the beautiful and famous vineyards and can easily venture into the city whenever you wish in a few minutes. The... More

We first read about this wonderful spot from a Rick Steves guide book. How could we go wrong! The location is perfect for a day trip to nearby St. Emilion, a must see if you are in the Bordeaux area. As we were flying out the next morning, we have decided that we need to return for a longer stay... More

We stayed for two nights. The room was immaculate and spacious and the breakfast fresh and delicious, with home made yogurt and preserves. The grounds are quiet and lovely, with vineyards all around and a small stream behind the property. The hosts were exceedingly warm.

Brought another couple this time since we love the area. There are three rooms with one having a separate bedroom, kitchen, eating area and small living room and upstairs two bedroom loft. We were in this room for a week and had more than enough room for two although a family would fit perfectly. The other two rooms have large... More

There are times when you want to be far away from the world and surrounded by beauty and serenity. This was one of those experiences. While the place is extremely hard to find...I mean, damn near impossible...it was exactly what I wanted. The hosts are incredible and Marie-Annick and Alain keep a very clean large abode for you to just... More

In September, we stayed 3 nights with Marie-Annick and Alain, who both have good English. Rooms are very clean and large - the three guest rooms being in separate building beside the main house .... set in a very green valley of vineyards. Marie-Annick and Alain were very helpful - thankyou. And breakfasts were very tasty. One evening, Marie-Annick picked... More

This is a charming place set in a little valley surrounded by vineyards, just minutes away from busy St. Emilion. You get a real sense of the work going on in the vineyards, of the countryside. Nice breakfast, including homemade yogurt and jams. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing place. The owners are very nice people, gracious hosts. Secure parking; nice grounds; lots... More
