Wanted to say after having seen the negative reviews on this hotel to correct them. Me and my partner stayed here after a day trip to alton towers. The owners made us very welcome and where very pleasant people, the room was large and spacious with everything we needed including towels and toiletries. The hotel itself was Clean and tidy... I went here for a meal recently and was disappointed with the quality of the food. It's not expensive, but I expected more for the price that I paid. I would like to see more home cooked meals on the menu as it is in a nice area that I would visit again.

Mattress' meant to be new but thrown out better! Carpet in room was disgusting ! Smell of damp was rife and cobwebs were having competitions with each other to see which was biggest . Would not stay here again , great location but cleanliness is not high on agenda !

After a long day at Alton Towers, we checked in at 10pm. The bar was lively with an acoustic night on (we were warned about this when we booked a few weeks before). The atmosphere was fantastic, locals and staff were very friendly, and the beer was very reasonably priced. While the en-suite shower and toilet may have been dated,... More

We booked this B&B as we were visiting Alton Towers for 2 consecutive days. The price is high for the standard of the accommodation but because of the proximity to Alton Towers. Quite chintzy decor but the rooms are clean and spacious. There was also a games cupboard for the kids. The accommodation is above a quiet pub so handy... More

The admirals house, the bar down stairs was dirty look at the edges and corners on carpet covered with cobwebs and dust. the silk plants round the celings were dusty and covered in cobwebs and dead spiders. the Conservatory smelt musty and damp. The entrance hall and stairs upto the rooms to the rooms smelt when you when in, when... More

Didn't stay here but ate here after a day at Alton Towers. Luckily they were still serving at 8pm when we walked in after trying the other 2 pubs in Oakamoor to find neither did food! Standard pub fare but it was freshly prepared and hot and we didn't have to wait to long. Nice, welcoming village pub.

I stayed at this B&B during a weekend trip to Alton Towers, with my girlfriend, Dad and brother. It is perfectly located for Alton towers and is about a 10 minute drive to the gates of the resort. We all enjoyed staying at the B&B and Denise and Steve are very Welcoming. Admirals house also has a small bar and... More
