Stayed at Stanton lodge which states is a luxury lodge. Although nice it's certainly not luxurious by any stretch of the imagination. Cleanliness wasn't the best. Lacking basics like a broom to sweep the floor. Nice stay but very mis leading to say it luxurious.

Stayed in the Stanton 7 bedroom house with family of varying ages for a week. The location is outstanding. Easy to get to all of the local attractions surrounding it. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Lovely long dining table for family meals together. The 3 big fridges coped well with the family demands. Couple of things let it down, the... More

Stayed at STANTON which sleeps 14. Our family group of 14 included ages 4-59. We had a fantastic stay and impressed with the lodge itself, fully equipped with all you would need. Used BBQ twice. Hot tub every day and kids enjoyed making dens, playing hide n seek and our night time treasure hunts in the woods. My only advice... More

Although the property looks like it's been maintained well there are areas where it really needs updating. The sofa for example is very uncomfortable to sit on and definitely needs replacing. We avoided sitting on it the whole stay and ended up sitting on the dining table instead which is not very welcoming. The mattresses on some of the bedrooms... More

Just returned from a week in the Weaver Lodge. There were 11of us (it sleeps 12) aged between 12 and 79 yrs. We wanted somewhere near Alton Towers and this was ideal-5 mins by car. There are lots of things to do within an hrs drive for all ages so we all really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was adequate... More

The lodges are great as an initial first impression, clean and well presented, but as a parent of two children, many of the features left me feeling far from relaxed... The outdoor BBQ area has seating alongside it....and a drop of around 6-8 feet, that was un fenced running right by it. The modular sofa seating wasn't adequate to seat all... More

I'm sure that when these lodges were first installed they were luxurious. They are in serious need of an overhaul. The lodge itself was clean and on first impressions seems fine however we had numerous issues. The sofa seated 6 but the house sleeps 8 so there wasn't enough room for us all to sit together the seats that were... More

Sadly the holiday would have been brilliant if we had been able to sit on the sofas, the springs sticking through prevented most modules being used. We had gone to chill, relax and unwind taking elderly parent, teenage son and dog along too - perfect setting, excellent location, hot tub too - which was sadly too cold to use on... More

We were very disappointed to find the lodge wasn't very clean and felt it was in need of a good tidy up. The pots were dirty, the walls were dirty, there is a building site next door and mud and sludge everywhere, we found heaps of dog dirt to the rear of the lodge in the muddy area close to... More

My family and I stop at the Denstone lodge every year and have done for the past 5 years. We love the woodland setting and local wildlife as well as the layout of the lodge and what it offers. The log fire burner and hot tub are fantastic, as is the outside BBQ and general hygiene/housekeeping. The kitchen provides all... More
