Having read some of the reviews, I was concerned by what we would find however the lodge was perfect. Ours, Ellestone, was secluded with its own private hot tub looking over to the pond. All the bedrooms were modern and warm, and the baths were large. The hot tub was extremely warm, which on October evenings was a delight. We... More

Rerecently stayed in the above lodge it was beautiful and in a great position. The lodge was very clean and welcoming with a fantastic relaxing view of the woods. The Hot Tub was a great size there being 7 Adults in our party and it was serviced every day. Sam & Steve were only too willing to help with anything... More

We booked Dimmingsdale lodge via Sykes Cottages a year ago hoping our extended family might join us for a big family get together, however once we had booked we then discovered all the horrendous reviews & started to panic! Our other family members were not comfortable staying with us once they found out about the reviews so we were left... More

Eight adults and one toddler (who slept on his readybed in our bedroom) enjoyed a brilliant long weekend at Denstone. The lodge and it's surrounding area were very clean on arrival. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the kitchen well equipped for what we needed. Both of the double bedrooms had en suite bathrooms in addition to the main bathroom... More

My husband and I have just returned home from a 3 night stay in Stanton Lodge. It had been booked for our friends 60th birthday party. The location is lovely. The lodge is lovely and spacious and very well equipped, if only it all worked properly and it was kept to a " luxury standard' as advertised. We were led... More

Just come back form staying at the Denton lodge. It was lovely and felt so homely, bedrooms were big enough and the kitchen perfectly adequate to cook for 8. The walks just on our door step were beautiful and really loved the wildlife outside our windows. Just a few pointers: * The kitchen equipment like frying pans, oven trays and... More

We stayed at Wooton Lodge for 3 nights over the bank holiday and had a lovely time. There were a few points though that we think the management should take notice of, in order to make their customers completely satisfied. Coat hooks and a shoe rack near the front door is desperately needed. With 4 adults and 4 teenagers, we... More

We were a little aprehensive about our trip as a result of the previous bad reviews. I have to say they were not proven to be true. The cotton lodge we stayed in was clean and tidy and very suitable for the 8 of us who attended. The place was warm enough and there were plenty of utensils and a... More

I was also concerned about the negative comments about these lodge but the remarks are very misleading - there are some improvements that could be made but overall an excellent lodge, clean, lovely quiet location and very well maintained - particularly by the on-site manager who was excellent. Ours was a 4 bedroomed lodge with a Hot tub, bedrooms all... More
