We stayed only 1 night at this lovely B&B, but wished straight away that we were staying longer! The house is beautiful, as are the gardens where we sat to enjoy a cream tea on our arrival. Both the owner Julie & her son were very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, & it seemed that everything that anyone could... More

From the moment we arrived at this wonderfull old building, I new this was going to be something special. Greeted by Julie, the owner, at the door upon arrival, who showed us to our wonderfull bedroom. The house and gardens are exceptional, both maintained to a very high standard. Breakfasts are superb as is the host. Many thanks Julie. Steven... More

The Old Rectory is a beautiful old house set in stunning grounds midway between Southwold and Lowestoft. It is hosted by Julie and her husband Michael, who could not be more attentive or helpful. There are 3 bedrooms, all excellent but we were fortunate enough to stay in the master bedroom, which had everything and more. Julie provided a breakfast... More

We selected the B&B from the Internet, what a great choice we made, we stayed 3rd July for two nights. The website really does not do justice to how beautiful the house, rooms and gardens are. Our hosts were most attentive and Julie's breakfast was to die for with a very good choice of menu. I cannot praise highly enough... More

Spent two nights at The Old Rectory. It was amazing from when we arrived . Julie & Micheal made us very welcome. Especially the home made cream tea we had in the wonderful garden. Room 3 where we stayed was very comfortable with a beautiful view over looking the grounds . This place is a little gem. Will definitely be... More

The visit started with warm scones, jam and cream in the lovely dining room. Our bedroom was execptionally comfortable with plenty of special little "extras" provided: chocolates, biscuits and fruit as well as the... More

A friend and myself stayed at this gorgeous house for five nights in a lovely spacious room . We were warmly welcomed by Julie and it seemed nothing was too much trouble for her. Great ambience and atmosphere. She thought of everything, down to homemade scones on arrival and advising us on excellent local restaurants. Using the delightful summerhouse in... More

We had such a fantastic weekend at The Old Rectory. Everything from start to finish was a real treat - from a really warm welcome from Julie to the incredible, locally sourced breakfast and amazing scones. The Old Rectory only has three rooms, which makes it feel extra personal. The gardens are beautiful, with a few hidden benches and corners... More
