We have stayed here before and it is as good as ever; very good dinner and comfortable room. However, do not rely on your SatNav unless it is reasonably current as mine sent me on the upgraded A1 rather than the old A1 running parralel. It is well signposted to Pickhill providing you are on the right road !!

A few weeks ago, we called in for a week day lunch. We shared the tempura prawns from the starters menu on the blackboard and had a round of sandwiches each. Both were excellent with a selection of good wines by the glass. We were in the area a couple of weeks later and, having seen the mains on the... More

Country pub with a small but clean and functional bedroom and bathroom. The staff were friendly and the breakfast delicious. We also ate in the restaurant which was very good too. We would stay again if in the area.

This was our fourth visit to the Nags Head. As usual, an excellent stay. We especially enjoyed the venison, and the wine Edward chose to accompany it. Our experience has been that, whatever the menu, there will be something to delight the palate.

Love taking people here so they can experience the look and feel of a real British pub/restaurant. Great food and a great atmosphere. Black pudding starter was excellent as was the homemade steak pie.

Just back from a great weekend staying at The Nags Head. Exceptional food both breakfast and evening meals and lovely clean, tidy room and great bed, so comfy. Great value for money. Didn't want to come home. We were well looked after and will be back.

We have stayed at The Nags Head on many occasions and every time the food has been excellent and the accommodation clean & comfortable. The evening meal last night was again superb, and the breakfast is always of a very high standard. We had our 11 year old son with us and he is always made to feel very welcome... More

Stayed on their 3 night weekend package (Sunday accommodation free). Stayed numerous times before. Very comfortable rooms. Excellent food and service which we believe is value for money. Lovely real ale and a great wine menu. Worth a visit and not far from the A1 between junctions 50 and 51. Excellent for the dales and north york moors.
