Excellent accommodation and public areas, but breakfast and dinner a bit pricey. A kettle in room would be a nice addition. Only 5 minute walk from Omaha beach. In better weather the outdoor seating would have been much appreciated.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The rooms are quite spare but have everything you need. But you are right by a lovely beach and very close to the WW2 American cemetery. What makes the place memorable is the restaurant. The food is so more than you would expect at a small hotel like this. The menu is... More

Tremendous location beneath the US Cemetary next to the 2nd Division monument. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent for families. Grass courtyard sheltered from the wind. Free parking & wifi. Friendly staff. Modern bathroom. Spent two nights. Easy drive to Utah beach. Be sure to walk at sundown on Omaha, very moving. Do not miss taps and lowering the flag at... More

Great location, within minutes of the beach, about a two minute walk. Very friendly staff. The hotel restaurant is good also. Good breakfast but the cost is 12 euros. Kids ate free though, so it worked out. Stayed for three nights and on one night , the hotel hosted an Opera duet that sang throughout the night. It was amazing... More

We stayed here for three nights in August 2014 to visit many of the DDay sites. St. Laurent sur Mer is part of the huge expanse of Omaha beach and is well placed to visit many of the other beaches together with Pointe du Hoc, the American Cemetery, Pegasus Bridge etc. We stayed in a family room which comprised a... My family and I stayed a night as we hopped around Europe during July 2014 and found the accommodations acceptable and the friendly staff memorable. The restaurant is very convenient. Small things can make a trip great and I will remember the bartender offering samples to my very picky wife and recommending a strawberry dessert called Fraise Melba that the... More

The layout of this hotel is like lots of little cottages joined together by wooden boardwalks-- very beachy and casual- there were seating areas, boules courts and fire pits in the garden, which was enclosed by huge hedges. The main building with the restaurant is very inviting- couches by the fireplace and a warm staff. The restaurant features local fare... More

Just back from a wonderful stay at La Sapiniere. The hotel is so comfortable and the staff so warm and friendly. We love this place. The restaurant is lively and the food is absolutely delicious. We visited the usual local places; Bayeux, the landing beaches and also went to Mont St Michel. Thanks to Isabelle and her wonderful staff. See... More

We stayed here July 2013 and again over Labor Day that same year. Enjoyed it both times! The first time we went for the history and were not disappointed. The hotel is literally a stones throw from Omaha beach and about half mile from the American cemetery. There is an old German gun emplacement on the road down to the... More

We had seen the reviews and were not disappointed. The location is good, close to the beach. Rooms are chalet like and minimal, but clean, comfortable and spacious, with a very good walk in shower room and separate toilet. Our daughter enjoyed having her own space in the mezzanine. The breakfast was exceptionally good for a continental breakfast and included... More
