We could wax lyrical about the Lodge for ages but will try to restrain ourselves. From the moment we got on board the Lodge launch to the moment we disembarked 2 days later all was heaven. The staff could not have done more to make our stay more enjoyable. The food was excellent - our congratulations to the chef. The... More

The lodge is beautifully decorated and newly done. Very comfortable beds, great free wi-fi and very nice room. Just a fun unique experience. Staff is very friendly and fun!! We biked and used the kayaks. We had cloudy weather - sunshine would have been better for swimming. We biked to the local 9 hole golf course - didn't play due... More

This was our third visit to Raetihi, over what must be a 15 year period. It was our third stop off as we were walking the Queen Charlotte Track. It was good to see that the rooms have been upgraded under the new ownership and are now of a high standard, modern and clean. The lodge is in a very... More

It's difficult to rate this lovely place because it's not really five star luxury but it is such a great location, the accommodation is very comfortable with everything provided and good food and excellent staff. There are big comfy beds, wi-fi, fluffy towels, bathrobes, slippers, etc and your own deck for looking at the view. Nothing is too much trouble... More

Beautiful position with excellent public rooms and staff. Superb food - compliments to the chef. We upgraded to a water view room, much better. The garden view room did not have coffee making facility. How about TV in rooms? New bathroom in our room looked excellent but difficult to fit kettle or glass under tap and water splashed all over... More

I can't speak highly enough of Raetihi Lodge. From the moment Phil met us at the quayside to the time Nelson dropped us off after a sadly all too short 3 night stay we knew we had been somewhere very special. Dylan's wonderful meals, front of house fab Audrey, lovely John, the newly arrived Cora, everything about this place is... More

Pros: Nice setting and outlook. Very friendly staff. Food good and not too expensive albeit presentation was unusual and sides were bigger than the main dish. Free use of kayaks etc. Rooms well presented if not a little on the small side for an ensuite. Cons: $360 for one night stay with no breakfast is expensive. Rooms too close together... More

We spent a magical weekend at Raetihi Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed the peace, the beautiful natural bush & sea views and the friendly, welcoming & attentive staff. There are a wide range of activities available to be enjoyed at Raetihi and the restaurant provided top quality meals at reasonable prices. Our room had a wonderful view of the Bay and... More

Had an amazing destination lunch at Raetihi Lodge - perfect location, amazing lunch, relaxed atmosphere & great friends. Hosts Alan & Liane & the Rartihi team did an incredible job creating a chilled ambiance in this secret hideaway. The mussels were 'to die for', the fish & chips crunchy & fresh & the burgers luscious. Washed down with a Renaissance... More

Truly amazing location, great property, superbly maintained. The service was outstanding and we felt very well looked after. Two great rooms, so our kids were right next door to us. The restaurant is excellent, the facilities were great. From arriving on the launch from Te Mahia, we really enjoyed our stay. We had three wonderful nights here and next time... More
