Pros: 1. Great location. The room is across the boulevard so you get a wonderful view of the ocean. It's also right across the pier where you can take ferries to other islands. Lots of nearby restauarnts, too. 2. Fast and stable wi-fi. 3. The room is old, but it's complete. There's a minibar, bathtub, safe, hair dryer, electric kettle.,... More

I have stayed at the Tavern a couple of times and also across the street at the Tavern Annex. Tavern is the best option for nice Surigao accommodation, especially if you need to catch a boat to the nearby islands. It is right on the road next to the bay. If you get a room with a water view (which... More

We came in the evening and the hotel looked so lovely. It has a simple and spacious lobby. The front desk ladies were accommodating. The King bed was very soft and comfortable. The room was quite big. Our room was facing the boulevard so we got the nice morning view. Tip: for late snacks order early as room service ends at 10pm.

We booked in here for 2 nights , extended to 4 as our flight was cancelled due to a typhoon. Our original room had a view of a wall only but at least it was quiet at night. The 2nd two nights we "upgraded" to a city view room as other rooms were already booked. The problem is the constant... More

I have stayed here several times and have had nice rooms and good service always. The ocean view with a balcony is a must. It's a few hundred more peso then the older city view room but worth it. Room is 2400 a night 50 bucks including breakfast but is right on the ocean with a balcony. The Boulevard below... More

We stayed here in august, to overnight so we could take the boat the next day to the Island siargao. This hotel has a great view at the sea, nearby the boats which leave to siargao. The hotel is well know, clean, friendly staff and nice clean spacious rooms. The breakfast is also tasty. Easy to take a multivan or... More

Had a family gathering and relatives booked us in this hotel, Sea view. Room is nicely sized, bathroom same way, has a nice Balcony to enjoy the sea. Best view is of course during sunrise and sunset. Heck it's very relaxing to just see all the boats coming and going all throughout the day, or the locals going about at... More

This is my 3rd time to stay in Hotel Tavern and I must say that when in Surigao, this is the place to be. Airport transfer is available for free. Staff are courteous and helpful. I love the fact that they have a list of the schedule of ferries/roro to Siargao. Rooms are clean. I have tried both the City... More
