Stayed here on our way up to Aviemore at the end of october and had a brilliant time. Was only for the one night but we wish it was for longer. Great central location in a lovely period townhouse. Bedroom was spacious and had the comfiest bed. Very clean house too. Hope to be back. more

The Waterbury is on the 1st and 2nd floors (2nd and 3rd for americans) of a charming building in Birnam about a 10 minute walk to Dunkeld across the river. This means it has easy access to the pubs and restaurants across the river but is quieter and more relaxing. The guest house is attractive with nice wooden furniture in... more

We appreciate all comments. At present, there are NO shared bathrooms in any of the guestrooms pr hallways at The Waterbury, all are ensuite. The bathrooms are more than adequate for their purpose and are generally relative to the size of the rooms. The new website which will go live this month (Aug 2009) shows better how lovely the rooms...

We had a lovely big room to suit our family of two adults and two children under 10. The beds were very comfortable and very clean. We walked to the lovely town of Dunkeld over the bridge in about 10 minutes. The pub over the road and up the hill (two minute walk) has a lovely meal and setting to... more

My daughter and myself spent 3 nights at this wonderful Guest House. Chantal was the perfect hostess. And her beautiful family were so very nice and helpful. Our room was very lovely. The beds were so nice that after a full day of sightseeing, it wasn't hard to just relax and go to sleep. The breakfasts were amazing. I would... more

My boyfriend & I stayed here for Valentine's weekend and could not have asked for a better stay. The service was amazing for the price we paid - full breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, afternoon tea, free wine...! The room was very clean and nicely done up with the option of wi-fi, and a TV with DVDs. A... more

We stayed in the Waterbury Guesthouse over New Year in 2007. I had a good feeling about the Waterbury from the moment we arrived (could have been the complimentary whiskey) and we were made to feel completely at home. The owners, David & Jayne, were available whenever we needed help, be that explaining what pubs to visit, sights to see... more

We booked and stayed at the Waterbury Guesthouse last summer and to Jane and Davids credit it was brilliant. The room was very comfortable and the lounge and dining rooms were beautifully decorated. Breakfast was substantial and delicious, with various choices. We only had dinner on our last night but regretted not eating there on our other two nights -... more
