Stayed one night in very stark, characterless room. Property was showing signs of neglect. Staff was quite argumentative when we requested to cut our stay short - really, you'd think they would not want to force unhappy guests to stay. I would never recommend this to friends. I am suspicious about authenticity of glowing reviews.

We just got back from a stay at Hotel Hibiscus to celebrate our 15 year anniversary and we just loved it. The grounds are very well manicured, the bungalows are huge, well appointed and comfy. Little kitchenette was nice to keep wine and beer cold, if you wanted to cook something up, you could. The shower was large, and the... More

The location and grounds of this hotel are perfect. Located past the point where all the rain clouds hit the island and dump, it's got far more sunshine than higher priced places. The beach is small but all of them are on Moorea. The water is wonderful, as is the food at le Sunset! The best restaurant on the island... More

I was blown away by the quality of this hotel! I had a Garden bungalow and found it beautifully decorated in an amazing setting. Bungalow was roomy, secure, well stocked with towels and toiletries as well as small kitchen, excellent shower/bathroom, comfortable bed, evening deck and quiet but very effective ceiling fan. This is superb value for money. Beach side... More

My husband and I started our honeymoon in this hotel. We wanted to save some money, because we had a long stay in French Polynesia, traveling among 6 different islands. The location of the hotel can't be beaten. Next to one of the most beautiful beaches in Moorea, and one of the few hotels on the west coast where you... More

We had a good meal here for a good value. It was our only meal in French Polynesia that was less than $50 US (and I am a vegetarian ... and we hardly drank). I had a hearty rice and vegetable dish and french fries. My husband had fish and said it was "okay." The menu offered a big selection.... More

Hotel was great. The bungalows aren't the plushest, but its set in beautiful garden grounds with gorgeous sunset views over the beach and lagoon. We found the restaurant quite average and overpriced but the view was amazing. Staff were very friendly and willing to give advice on as well as book tours for us. There were lots of restaurants in... More

We have just had our second visit to Hotel Hibiscus on the 9 September for 14 days, this time bringing our kids to let them experience it for themselves. As always we were totally looked after by the lovely Hotel Hibiscus family. Nothing was a problem and the highlight of our stay is always swimming with the whales on Harolds... More

As far I know there is one hotel hibiscus on the island Moorea, but it is located in Haapiti (in this one we have been and check the homepage of them: hotel-hibiscus.pf). We are a family from Switzerland with a kid (2) and during our world trip we did fortunately this stop for one week in this resort in March... More

The property is nicely settled among coconuts trees on grass carpet reaching thru the beach. The bungalows are sufficient comfortable and spacious, but not so well insulated: you can hear chats & noises coming from other cabins; the reastaurant is indeed overpriced and offering the same menu thurought the week; infact we found similar dishes on 4+ stars resort but... Dear guest, I would like to make a few comments following yours.. Tourists coming to French Polynesia are looking for something traditional, which is why most of them chose to stay in a bungalow, the traditional way. Even in 5 star resorts bungalows are not 100% sound proof. Our bungalows cannot have the same insulation as your houses in Europe... More
