We had a pool-side, air-conditioned room for our stay at Hotel Hibiscus as the bungalows were booked out. The room was fine, spartan but clean, and the bonus was the kitchenette with a stove, bar-fridge, equipment and tea/coffee provided. This proved handy as the breakfast buffet was not included and was terribly overpriced (AUD $25 per person for basic continental)!... More

My husband and I had no lodging lined up for our trip (as usual) when we started talking to the couple next to us on the plane. They told us that they had to stay at the Hotel Hibiscus. We made reservations for our first night on Moorea in one of the bungalows. We lucked out and got room 11,... More

We stayed there as a family and had a "studio", i.e. 2 communicating rooms with 2 bathrooms and a large balcony (very practical for drying wet towels etc...). I cannot say anything about the bungalows, but the rooms are clean and functional. Not especially charming, still nice. Garden and pool are nice, the breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and... The hotel is located on a beautiful beach in Moorea with fantastic views and crystal clear waters. They have a restaurant with a deck over looking the beach area with beautiful views of the area to enjoy your food. We had dinner there, early one evening. I had a fish dish and my wife had chicken, which she did not... More

The location of the hotel is unbeatable. I stayed in a Lagoon View Bungalow. On arrival my bungalow was decorated with fresh flowers from the tropical gardens surrounding the resort. I don´t mind old furniture as long as it is clean. The spacious bungalow was kept pretty clean and had a little porch were I could enjoy a cool drink.... More

Hibiscus was not fancy accommodation but you definitely pay for the position and the crystal clear water out front. We came with a group so got to see many different rooms. Options for accommodation are: pretty basic hotel style rooms with small balconies- at the back of the resort near the pool. These rooms are clean with AC, mini fridges... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, from the arrival until solving our problems with the transfer to the airport (we said the wrong flight departure time...). Very nice rooms and very clean, service everyday for bedding and cleaning is quick and thoroughly done. It's mostly perfect for the restaurant in its premises, but also for the beach of white sand and... More

Stayed one night in very stark, characterless room. Property was showing signs of neglect. Staff was quite argumentative when we requested to cut our stay short - really, you'd think they would not want to force unhappy guests to stay. I would never recommend this to friends. I am suspicious about authenticity of glowing reviews.

We just got back from a stay at Hotel Hibiscus to celebrate our 15 year anniversary and we just loved it. The grounds are very well manicured, the bungalows are huge, well appointed and comfy. Little kitchenette was nice to keep wine and beer cold, if you wanted to cook something up, you could. The shower was large, and the... More
