We booked this hotel via booking.com only to then be emailed by the owner informing us that children were not welcome. Something that was not clearly explained on booking.com or their own personal website. We didn't even realise you were allowed to refuse children.....but apparently so. What is even more amusing is that they accept dogs!

This is a lovely place and the rooms were very comfortable . Breakfast was hearty. but we felt that the owners they were not very friendly towards us despite our attempts at chat. She seemed to be lovely at one moment and then unfriendly at another. We got told off because we had snacked on some cheese that my partner... More

What a find :-) perfect location, accommodation, breakfast We wanted 24 hours of chill time and that it just what we found. Tintern is lovely, lots of places to eat, walks by the river, vineyard, Old Station, Abbey. It was only a 45 min drive from Glos.

This was a delightful place to stay, while visiting the historic town of Tintern, Wales. The rooms were immaculate and prettily furnished. The food was delicious too. Recommend having dinner there, as well as breakfast. We loved the quaint St. Michael's Church right next door also.

Set in the village of Tintern and ideal for visiting the Forest of Dean and the wye valley. The guest house has good bedrooms but the shower room was slightly tired looking and in need of updating.comfortable beds. Cosy lounge with log fire and a nice place to have a drink.pretty inglenook restaurant but unfortunately the food was very disappointing... More

Tintern, Wales is tiny. In its 1km stretch of 'main road' there are a handful of restaurants and small hotels. The Parva Farmhouse is one of them. For a recent weekend trip, we picked this hotel for its last-minute availability, and dog friendliness. Overall, the property is small, cozy and feels like you're in the extension of someone's home (which... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Parva farmhouse. The farmhouse itself is a lovely building on the riverside with lots of charm. the little honesty bar in the living room is a nice touch. It is a little musty but i guess its to be expected with the age of the building. The room we stayed in was very... More

Set by the river and next to a gorgeous old church. (Should just mention no bell/clock heard from it so will not spoil sleep). As has been mentioned the car park is a tight entrance off of the main road, but easily done by turning in from the pub car park opposite. Leaving the car park is a different case.... More

We were attracted to the area by the ruined abbey and reports on the beautiful Wye Valley, both great. Drawn to the Farmhouse by Trip Advisor reports it lived up to expectations - clean, rustic and friendly. Located right on the river next to a very old church it has great history and a lot of charm. if you like... More

This building itself is impressive, great location and our room was spotless. Nice breakfast though the cumberland sausage was a frozen sausage not fresh. The hosts were very hospitable to some, but we felt that they were not as friendly towards us despite our attempts to engage in conversation. it's difficult to put our finger on it and we really...
