Stayed at Villa Brae for only one night. We usually down in Durban and then drive up to Pinetown for business. Much more relaxing to stay up in Pinetown. Pay attention when going to Villa Brae from Durban's side as you need to turn over and go back on the M13. Directions on website is good so is easy to... More

I want to start off by saying that I completely disagree with one of the previous reviews! I was whisked away here as a surprise. What was more of a surprise was how this gorgeous place had been only 20minutes away and I never knew about it! After driving down the long driveway through the grounds we were met with... More

Had a great time with some great people in a comfortable environment. Highly recommended and will be back. The room was spacious and well appointed, and the breakfasts were fantastic. Ended up making some new friends, an unexpected bonus!!!!

Rod and Karen are two very nice people willing to make you feel good and really make you enjoy your time at their place. When I arrived there, I was actually a bit down but their warm welcome, Karen's amazing lasagna and the comfort of the room definitly cheered me up....and that would be a shame to forget about the... We were so disappointed when we arrived. The establishment is in desperate need of attention.Everything is old,run down and mismatched. We had booked a luxury suite which was nothing short of old and gloomy and overpriced compared to the lovely BB we eventually found to stay in.The advertising is completely misleading too.Access is also difficult off the M 13.

The property is not really in Kloof - rather on the border of Pinetown. Difficult to get in and out of as it is on Fields Hill. Not enought hotwater for more than one shower. Bed not great - one side has a huge dip. On the upside - great breakfast!

I recently stayed at Villa Brae for two nights on a business trip. Not exactly so easy to find especially at night time, but a very large property in a huge beautiful garden all tucked away in serenity. You definitely get the feeling of being transferred to a place "far from the madding crowd" whilst you are, in reality, in... More

Extremely hospitable hosts, Karen and Rod went out of their way to ensure our needs were met. Even the kitchen staff were very friendly and provided a great breakfast each morning. The massive bedroom was well mantained and serviced daily. We were really comfortable during our stay and will definitely return in due course.

The tranquil setting of Villa Brae enhanced a restful respite from the hurly-burly of the city. My hosts were most courteous and went out of their way to make my stay most pleasant. They were a wealth of knowledge about the area and ensured that I was well prepared for the day ahead.

Service was exellant! Marc and JC were so helpful and so friendly- they both really made us feel welcomed. Room was clean and tidy. Location is beautiful and the scenery is to die for. I would really recommend Villa Brae to others.
