After researching wedding venues in the South West we came across the Horn of Plenty & knew instantly this is where we wanted to hold our reception! From our first meeting with Julie I had no fear it was going to be amazing & the day certainly was! From the moment we arrived to leaving the following day everything was... More

Having enjoyed a number of earlier visits to the HOP, we were interested to try one of the new rooms that have just been added to those adjacent to the main hotel. Having selected one that enjoyed great views across the valley, we were delighted with the comfort, space and décor, plus the super-luxury bathroom. When you add this to... More

My husband, who was celebrating his recent 80th birthday, & I were spending a few days in the area and decided to pop into the Horn of Plenty during the afternoon of 15th July to take a look at the menu. We sat outside admiring the fantastic view whilst perusing the choice on offer and, although we declined a drink... More

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with another visit to this brilliant hotel. We stayed in one of the new garden rooms ( room 14) with a delightful private terrace and the benefit of the stunning and well documented view. The room was spacious and well furnished. The bed super- comfortable with fabulous pillows. The bathroom was superb with an... More

Having got engaged here 18 months beforehand, Sally & I got married here on the 4th July this year. What a day we had, we could not have wished for more, the venue is stunning, the service is absolutely first class, the food was (as usual) truly awesome, thank you Scott once more, we knew you would blow all our... In our 35 years together my wife and I have made it a pastime to visit the top rated hotels and restaurants in the UK. We have, undoubtedly, found the ocasional gem, but all too often we have left feeling at least disappointed , and at worst ripped off. As a result, we have in recent years been inclined to... More

We stayed at The Horn of Plenty for two nights. It is in a stunning location - and we were in room 4 in the main hotel which has it's own large balcony overlooking the Tamar valley. The room had a sunken bath too, from which the gorgeous views could also be appreciated! The food in the restaurant was very... More

We stayed here for a night in one of the fabulous new garden rooms...wow! Our room was absolutely stunning - spacious, beautiful furnishings with a huge bathroom with free-standing bath and large shower. It was a gorgeous warm, sunny evening so we sat on the terrace for a pre-dinner drink overlooking the valley. We opted for the tasting menu which... More

We decided to take up the 50% offer for one of the new garden rooms including breakfast & dinner which was a good deal. However, on arrival we were shown to our new garden room which was disappointing after all the hype. The room itself was spacious, beautiful & tasteful fabrics, lovely bathroom BUT NO VIEW (only the car park)!... More
