The Wooden Cabbage is a delightful B and B with the hosts Martyn and Susie making us very welcome. Their house is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location with fabulous views over the Dorset country side. The garden room where we had our Breakfast and also an evening meal is a perfect setting. Susie is an amazing cook, serving us... More

Originally booked to stay at a local hotel, a friend found the Wooden Cabbage on-line and after reading the many excellent TA reviews we switched our 2 night stay and were not disappointed. Martyn and Susie are wonderful hosts, friendly and attentive without being overwhelming . We were made to feel very welcome and treated as friends rather than guests. Martyn... More

We had a wonderful 2 nights at the Wooden Cabbage midweek. Martyn and Susie made us feel incredibly welcome from start to finish - we were welcomed like old friends and soon found ourselves chatting away in the garden over tea and shortbread. We were upgraded to the spacious barn conversion, which meant we had all the room in the... More

In recent years, we have not stayed in many B&B's as we have had a growing family and some difficult experiences along the way. This is an exceptional B&B. The quality of the furnishings, breakfast and surroundings deserve high acclaim and it is no surprise that Martyn and Susie's wonderful home scores so well on TripAdvisor. The bed was comfortable... This is by far the best B&B stay we have had in years. As guests we had quite varied needs, we went with my elderly grandmother (88), my mum, my husband, my daughter (3) and I. Finding a top quality boutique b&b that welcomes a toddler is quite an ask, and yet when we arrived we had a very warm... More

Great place to stay. Fabulous views, wonderful quiet location, welcoming and superb hosts. Our suite was delightful, comfy bed and full kitchen facilities. The breakfasts choices were superb and would be hard to beat anywhere else. It was indeed a five star experience.

We would highly recommend a stay at Susie's place. From the warmest of welcomes, to the lovely room with ultra comfy bed, ensuite bathroom with lashing of hot water and nice toiletries, not to mention the awesome breakfast, altogether we had a 5 star experience

We very much enjoyed our stay and felt that everything was done to make us comfortable. It seems to have late availability which can be useful for last minute trips and reflects the relatively high prices charged. The inadequacy of internet access and the dismissive approach to seeking internet access was the only off note from a high quality and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and having you to stay, and we are only sorry that our broadband provider was having difficulties over the two days that you were at Wooden Cabbage - this was even broadcast on the lunchtime News so I know it was a nationwide problem. From memory, we did manage to get your wife connected before... More

Second time we have stayed at this delightful place. Lovely pubs nearby with super food. Recent visit spoiled by being asked to supper in house and then charged £80 (£40 each) for the privilege!! If they had told us how much it was going to cost we would have gone back to the Fox and the scrumptious scallops which cost... More

We were delighted to see you again at Wooden Cabbage last week, for your second visit, but very upset to read that you were disappointed to be charged for dinner. We serve canapes, a three-course dinner and half a bottle of wine per person - the price of £40 is detailed on our website. Since we were serving dinner to... More
